I had a number of their handcrafted ceramics in a shop I had in the early 90's and was just fascinated by their product. A trip to the work shop and grounds is a must! It is Wonderland for adults.. If you do not know what I mean visit their website or their store in Manhattan.

Whether or not you know about MacKenzie-Childs, it worth a stop. The stuff is a bit kitschy for my tastes, but my wife loves it and it is fun to see what they do and how they do it. In nice weather, it is a nice place to walk around and look out on Cayuga Lake.

Had never even heard of Mackenzie-Childs but while staying in Aurora for a weekend wedding, became an instant fan! Not only did we learn so much from our innkeeper at the EB Morgan House, but took his advice and did the "must see" tour of the "farmhouse.!"..WOW!..even my husband said he felt like he was "Alice in Wonderland!" as we... We arrived too late for a tour...darn it. However, we were able to watch the 15 minute non-stop video that shows the process of making the pottery. High quality unique products is the best way I can describe their products. As someone else commented, the gift shop is overwhelming. On our slim budget we really could not afford anything in... I have to say I was somewhat taken aback by all that was on display - sensory overload!.You have to see it to believe it as words could convey the experience. I did find a few pieces that I loved and even purchased 2 christmas gifts. I loved the doll house in the video room. That was worth the stop.

Loved everything about it, the shop is decorated for Christmas. Don't miss the farmhouse tour.It is given 3 times a day, free of charge, and whether you love Mackenzie-Childs or not, it is superb.

What a neat place! I was reminded of Alice in Wonderland down the rabbit hole. The pottery is beautiful and expensive. The furniture is other worldly and extremely high dollar. One better be rich or won the lottery. The whole experience is lots of fun and everyone can afford something.

Amazing amount of pots and furniture in the checkerboard style. Do not forget to look for the sale table. We made out with lots of items from the sale table. Then to our suprise the bell rang and they gave us a tour of the farmhouse. this farmhouse is amazing. Totally decorated in Mackenzie Childs and painted with views from... More

If you have a sense of humor and like to put a few wild things in your home to amuse your guests this is the place to go. Tables, chairs, pottery, doodads are all painted in bright colors - the more the better - with fantastic designs. The work is skillful and done in house. A sensory overload.

If you order from these people, make sure you aren't in a hurry to get the piece! I ordered the 3 quart teapot and it was too big. I returned it, and am on week 3 of the exchange, waiting for the 2 quart one. It hasn't even been processed yet!! I am very disappointed in this policy of theirs... More
