MacKenzie-Child's Pottery is excellent. They make dishes and furniture from pottery. There are also great linens, dishes for little children, and rugs for any size room. They are expensive but if you can come when they have a sale, you can get a bargain,

It was a beautiful drive to the compound. The facility was amazing but expect to spend a small fortune in the gallery.

This is a very beautiful site with lovely gardens, an amazing gift shop and a pottery workshop tour. If you are in the area, take a quick stop here.

It was fun to walk through and look at all the funky stuff, but the items are ridiculously priced. Not sure who can afford to shop here, but we sure can't. Worth it to stop and take a look, but don't go out of your way if you aren't a millionaire!

We were attending a wedding at the Aurora Inn and heard about M-C pottery Workshop. What a great find. Don't miss the video on how they make it. Their work is all hand made and beautiful. It wasn't crowded, but I understand they get some bus traffic. The grounds of the property are lovely with a view to match. You... More

If you are in the area this a fascinating place to visit. I have no idea where all of this decor, hand painted pottery on a Victorian farm came from, but I would love to know--the merchandising is 1st class, and very enjoyable. The colours, the fabrics, the enamel and pottery are colourful, exuberant and slightly outrageous. None of it... More

I am not a MacKenzie Childs fan but the beautiful rural location, intriguing Farm House tour, and retail shop make this a worthwhile destination. I enjoyed learning the background story of the original founders so much so that I came home to research them online. Apparently they had a ferry boat B and B in NJ which was moved to... More

My daughter and I were visiting Wells College and stopped here on the way back home. Conveniently located on Rt. 90. We got there at 1:15, next tour was 2:30, so we didn't stay for that. It was an interesting shop and enjoyed it for 1/2 hour. It is a beautiful spot and the drive along the lake was lovely.

While the results our visit were disappointing, the establishment was beautiful and located on large manicured grounds. Located in Aurora New York the selections to choose from we're plentiful but the prices for a factory store were very high and appearing to be at regular retail. The items reveal superb workmanship and quality but a small small flower vase stamped... More

The shop was great if you like that sort of gaudy over priced stuff. The buildings and grounds were beautiful overlooking the lake in the distance. We did not take the house tour.
