We enjoyed out strolling very much. The museum also is just close. Some nice restaurants were just at the 6th street closer to the capitol site. Not much time spent to look for anything, as long as trips and travel are planned. More

This looks good in photos. It has been the location of many local events and beauty pageants. More

Probably the most popular park in Bacolod is the Capitol Lagoon Park in front of the Provincial Capitol Building. Constructed during the American period, the Provincial Capitol is said to be among the most beautiful in the country. Needless to say,. the Capitol wouldn't be as impressive without the lagoon and the larger than life sculpture of a woman leaning... More

The man-made lagoon fronting the capitol building gives a feeling of calmness while the pillars at the facade give sense of grandeur to the building seating the local government of Bacolod, http://lakadko.blogspot.com/2011/11/looking-back-at-my-bacolod-backpacking_27.html More

The lagoon is located in front of the Island Capital of Negros. The are two bronzed states of water buffaloes at each end of the lagoon. Be wary of pickpocketers. Sunday is a family day at the park and many young mothers bring their children to the Lagoon Park for a relaxing morning or afternoon. Vendors set up at both... More

This lagoon is located just in front of the capitol building. and when i visited the place, garbage was scattered around the place, maybe because of last night 's festivities.(it was masskara week).the place is good for jogging and brisk walking, and aerobics in the early morning. The place is just walking distance from the hotel where i stayed, the Chalet. the lagoon has many attractions to keep our two-year old happy. he likes to feed the fishes. he also likes to run around the grass area. there are swings, monkey bars and slides. the only thing i dont like about it is that the playground facilities are old and can be quite dangerous to the kids. the slide, for example,... I took a lot of photos when I visited this place. I got fascinated by the scenery and the people around. - all smiling and so lively. Upbeat music are also being played (around 5pm), makes you wanna stand up and dance. There are guards patrolling within the area, so you'll feel a little secure. More
