Visited February 2009. Roughly 30-45 minutes south of Bacolod City. It’s a good idea to rent out transportation for the day, leave early in the morning for Mambukal, and then come back in the afternoon/evening. We rented out a jeepney for roughly 2,000 pesos and brought some food to cook. There’s quite a bit to do here at Mambukal, all on cash basis, with relatively low fees. Per the website: Hotel Rooms, Water Falls, Swimming Pools, Function Hall, Therapeutic Warm Dipping Pool, Picnic Huts, Overnight Cottages, Food Court, Bat Watching, Boating, Wall Climbing, Slide for Life, Canopy Walk, and Camping Ground.http://www.mambukalhaven.com/location.htmlFirst we rented one of the picnic huts and started cooking. After we ate, we checked out the water fall, swimming pool, therapeutic warm dipping pool, boating lagoon and bat watching ….Picnic Huts – Nice views with a stand to grill and a sink wash your hands. The water comes directly from the falls.Water Fall – I’d say about it’s about a 30 minute hike to the first waterfall, over uneven ground and a single pipe railing to hold on to. Certainly a workout, I wouldn’t recommend this to the less-adventurous. There are a total of 6 or 7 waterfalls you can hike to, each one a less safe hike than the one before. You should at least hike to the first waterfall, it will be worth the trip. Bat Watching – You can see the bats hanging down from the tall trees in the distance from just about anywhere on the resort. They have specific ‘bat watching’ signs though, on the route to the first waterfall. Boating – You can rent a kayak for 30 minutes to an hour, good for 5 or 6 people per kayak. Life vests and two paddles are provided. Nice lagoon, lots of fun and good exercise. Swimming Pool – Cool water, large pool area. Like any other swimming pool except that this water is from the falls!Therapeutic Warm Dipping Pool – Like a hot shower on a cold day, but in ‘pool’ form. If you’re not used to the hot water just give your body time to adjust and sink lower and lower …. The resort was lots of fun, don’t forget the suntan lotion. Easily took up a whole day. A must visit if you are in Negros!

I really liked this mountain resort Mambukal, the air is so fresh and you can smell the plants and trees around you. Its a 30 to 40 minute ride from Bacolod City, since we brought our own vehicle via roro from iloilo City. There are many activities that you can do here, the dip pool offers very warm and therapeutic... More

We went to the resort for a day trip with all the family and friends and their kids too. There is something for everyone. Most of our day was spent at the swimming pool where the kids had a wonderful time. Us adults were close by at some dining area where we could eat our food and keep an eye... More

We go here for the 7 falls. A long journey for a person that is not expert in trekking, tiring and frustrating but worth it. You can swim on the 6th falls. After that it is good to go to the Sulfur Dipping pool, it can relax your weary muscles. :)

If you're in Bacolod, this is the best spot to be. Fresh Air, Far from Crowdy Places, etc. I like this resort and I recommend to bring your family and friends for an overnight stay. The Rates are a little bit expensive especially the food so I prefer you bring a Food, Water or Things needed for your stay.

Our time at this resort was very limited but I have a nice time taking pictures and sight seeing. They have two hot spring pools, one was warm and the other one was very hot. They also have cottages you can rent at a very reasonable price. One health spa, an olympic size swimming pool and seven levels of waterfalls,... More

It took just 1.5 hours from bus terminal in Bacolod. There are 7 water falls and we can jump into water in 6th water falls. Almost all people don't go to 7th falls. However, I recommend you to go there. You can experience "water massage". The water is so cold.

Great little mountain resort that has been refurbished and attracting a lot of local tourists. A great spot for swimming, hot baths, trekking , sulfur baths and just plain hanging out in nature. A great day trip from Bacolod City!

I have no idea about this resort. I was being told by my cousin about here. I thought this is just a typical resort, but i was wrong. this resort may be considered as one of the best resort i've ever been in. the place is so quite, you will hear the chirping or the birds, butterflies are flying and... I love going to Mambukal. The drive alone is breathtakingly beautiful. Inside the Resort, there are accommodations, restaurants, two swimming pools, two hot dip pools, a spa, butterfly park, lake for boating, wall climbing and ziplining, canopy walk and 7 falls to trek. There are also bat caves and plants for sale. It has something for everyone. Good place for a... More
