Michelle and I went to do the hike to the 7 falls, and on our second day at Mambukal Resort we found the Butterfly Sanctuary. We spend the better part of 2 hours going through there seeing the various butterflies and I was shooting Macro photos of them. Great time!!

Sunday visit to see the dozens of butterflies was a treat , but not one of the best, apparently the owners are more interested in selling souvenirs than the number of different species.. One of the nicer experiences was watching them feed.

I love butterflies and was disappointed when there were very few varieties in the garden when the sample display showed more. Nevertheless,I still enjoyed seeing these beautiful creatures closely.

In comparison with some others this was a little disappointing with only about 3 or 4 small different butterflies visible in the enclosure... Maybe we went off-season?

The place is basically a net of 5 square meters with about 30 butterflies flying in it. I saw about 3 different species. They don't have much place to fly, and a few flowers to fly by. OK to spend 15 main and take a couple of pictures.

I have an interest in butterflies so this was an interesting excursion for me. As you enter the facility, there is a good bit of information available but you will need to go through the items slowly. They need to update and move on to video monitors and computer screens that give a better presentation. When you're dealing with small... More

I didn't pay much attention to this butterfly garden until a visitor took interest in going there. So, I was obliged. The steps going there are kinda difficult for the elderly. the steps made from natural stones. but there is a balustrade that you can steady yourself. but when you get in, you will see the collections in different colors.... You should visit this place because they have a wide range of species of butterflies that can be found on negros. Aside from this, negros's gem also has 7 falls you can go to through hiking

Lots of fun exploring the area. Food is available from vendors when I went in 2007. Amenities are looking a bit tired but that's standard for Asia.
