I love it here especially when its too early in the morning. It makes me enjoy much the place. And on night time, its more like a friends and family hangout. The history is richly depicted in those great monuments of Lapu-lapu and the Fort shrine and The Battle of Mactan painting.

Putting up a statue is one thing but providing enough info on the story, history and background of the monument would be better. The damage from the recent earthquake on the much older and significant Magellan memorial has not been repaired.

It's a tourist attraction so as such you should expect the usual souvenir sellers, but not pushy so it's ok

The exact location of battleground between Lapu-Lapu and Magellan was well documented. The things that we dislike, some areas were not really prepared or dressed for the Lapu Lapu Statue. The areas are like the ordinary ground

Magellan was such a key figure in the world's history (especially the history of the pacific islands), that to see, hear and understand the story of his final battle is awesome! Lapu Lapu was the Great Great grandfather of our local tour guide (though my guess is that most of the guides claim that) so the story was even more... More

Visited as a family with Cebu friends. Beautiful gardens & very well maintained. The history was clearly displayed with memorials for both Lapu Lapu & Magellan

This was such an enjoyable visit. The statue was set in beautiful gardens overlooking the ocean. The guide was so friendly, informative and helpful. Nearby were souvenir stalls, all reasonably priced. Seafood restaurants were very close, serving an abundance of seafood which could be chosen, cooked to your liking and then enjoyed. We had the bonus of a harpist playing... More

It's nice to visit the place especially if you are looking for history. I hope that there will be more activities in the area to attract more guests
