July 2011 I and Philippinaife visited Cebu Zoo near the Taoist Temple. It was small with cages. It cost 50 pesos (about a dollar) admission. The Zoo keepers gave us a private tour? My wife got to sit on a Philippine Crocodile! We held large birds on our wrist. The we held very large pythons. It was cool!

The Cebu Zoo is small, but not expensive. A cab from down near the Carbon Market, for example, is about 125 pesos (approx. US $2.50). Entry fee is tiny- like 25 pesos (not even a dollar). Their tiger passed away, so the zoo has lost one of it's key attractions. The staff is very helpful, they know the animals well... More

The Zoo keepers are friendly but pitty the conditions the Animals are kept. There are no tickets issued, there is a register hope the ticket collections go for the welfare of the animals, which I could'nt see.

Cebu Zoo is a good place to interact with some animals especially the snakes, birds and even crocodiles. The zoo keepers are very friendly and accomodating. Although theare are only few animals to see, the P25 entrance fee is still reasonable. Check out my experience here.. http://justnewsprint.blogspot.com/2014/06/cebu-zoo-experience.html

Okay! Maybe we just got lucky, overall, it was unintentional to be in this place, we were heading to Taoist Temple when we came across this zoo, so we checked it out anyways. There were no visitors in the zoo but me and my friends. We roam around and saw the usual zoo, animals in their cage. The environment is... More

It is not much as zoos go. It needs major shot of money to clean up, repair and equip the facility. Rust, broken cages, poor lighting and a staff that's needs organization. I was with family and friends, staff members answered questions and were helping us along but they need tools to work with. Hands on and interactive displays needed.... More
