We take a trip to Cebu now and then just to spend time at SM. You can spend all day there shopping, eating, people watching and when you get tired, take in one of the 8 movies, one which is an Imax. The mall is huge. It's been around awhile, but is still one of the largest malls in the... More

To most Filipinos, when the word "mall" is mentioned, the first idea that come to mind is the chain of SM Supermalls Seeing the Cebu version of SM did not disappoint me Their tagline "We've Got It All" held true Variety was very much apparent and the costs are very much catered to the majority Though the traditional "box" architecture... Great shopping at this local and very popular department store, mega mall giant. SM sells everything from more than just shoes at amazing prices. Travelling to the Philippines and not visiting one of their many, many, many SM's is a sin in a very Catholic country! Wear comfy shoes, or ditch the old ones and buy some new ones at... More

SM Mall is huge and extremely noisy! Three or four different sources of what they call Music blast at you while you walk kilometers to find the shop you want. Ayala seems to have learned that too much loud musak turns off the real shoppers, but SM has not. The noise even follows you into restaurants, which all have their... More

I have been coming in SM for many years and though originally I liked it more than Ayala, that is now the reverse. There are many shops, even shops that ayala centre does not have (like a hardware store or a fabric shop) and that is actually the only reason I go there. However, I find the lay-out confusing though... More

Make sure when you enter the shop you have to show your bag for inspection. Other staff members just chatting with oher members not helping the customers. Most importantly if you purchasing with a big amount make sure you bring your identifications such as passport. Otherwise you have to use cash only. I am a travellers and have been overseas... More

As is typical of ShoeMart malls in the Philippines, the Cebu example is large, mostly airy and rather boxy in shape. I cannot explain my perception well but I prefer the Ayala Center in what is called 'Cebu Business Park', even though the Ayala mall is confusingly arranged as an octagon or hexagon. However, most shoppers will find what they... More
