One of the highlights of our trip. especially talking with the people and buying some of their wares. The islands are simply so different and so unreal, knot to be missed.
We made the mistake of staying for three nights. The hotel is really set up for guests who only stay one night, arriving at lunch time and departing at noon the next day. I would have given a better rating if we had done that. The menu for the evening meals was the same each day, we were lucky that... More
Suasi island is amazing to relax and flee away from the crowds. Unfortunately the amendities are partly a bit too basic (sure, it's an ecological lodge, but still electricity would be helpful even before sunset...), including the quality of the bathroom, which was not up to the standard of what you pay here ($300-450/night for 2). Additionally what is advertised... More
Excellent trip! Our guide, Fernando , was very pleasant and and made everyone feel welcome. Island of Suasi was lovely
what can I say about this Island ? everyone should be able to visit it one day ! difficult to walk because of the altitude but the surroundings are so gorgeous that is deserves the effort! Do not miss the sunset in the evening on the top of the hill, majestic sunset over the Titicaca lake ! This ilsand is... More
Why don`t we take a 4 hour bus journey along pitch black bumpy rutted roads with 50% of the bus suffering all manner of gut rot and bowel pain and spasm, with no toilet stopsand one smelly toilet on the bus to the edge of a lake. There let us wait in an orderly FREEZING queue for your turn to clamber... More
It is quite an experience. Take a deeeep breath before starting your walk. Take your pace. Do not dare taking this trip without sunBLOCK . The food was delicious and the population could not be more welcoming
Loved exploring this quiet island. Was a great way to relax after an active trip. Loved the sea kayaks and hike to peak at sunset. Martha's story is great. Service very attentive as we were only guests.
This is a delightful island located on Lake Titicaca close to the Bolivian boarder. There are lots of wild flowers and expansive views to photograph. Bring your own food and water. the hotel there is not worth staying at. You may read my review about the "hell" we found at the Casa Andina on the island.
This is a wonderful island to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and the water. Definitely take advantage of the canoe, and get out for a ride around the island. It's gorgeous!
