I was in Panama mostly for work, but took the opportunity to scuba dive a couple of days just before. Discussions on TA forums brought me to Scuba Panama. While I considered staying there, I finally decided to stay at Casa Congo (see review there) and believe it was a great idea as the diving club is far from everything.... More

The outfitter was very nice and the crew. Bring your own dive computer if you have one as my husbands gear that he rented did not have one. The crews were very attentive in and out of the water. The outfitter picked Us up at our hotel in Panama City, drove us 1.5 hrs out to Colon and then to... More

During my 2 weeks in Panama for work I decided to take a dive in the weekend. Nearest to my hotel was their office in Panama City. They pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the Scuba Panama diving facility in Portobelo. A nice location with friendly personnel. Equipment in good shape and gasses OK. 2 dives... More

We wanted to dive in Lake Gatun. This desire was complicated by several factors, not the least of which was we were only in Colon for about 9 hours on a cruise ship stop. Veruska at Scuba Panama couldn't have been better about organizing everything. Raphael the dive master was waiting at the pier when we arrived, and off we... More

This was a seamless scuba diving experience - right from when Rafael & Fernando came and got us from the hotel to the 2 hour drive to Portobello through the beautiful Panamanian landscape to the 2 dives and then lunch and then a little bit of sightseeing in Portobello town. I had a little problem initially because I did not... More

We went scuba diving with Rafael in June in Portobelo (which was the Caribbean Sea). Scuba Panama picked us up at our hotel at 7 a.m. and we rode for about an hour and a half to Portobelo. For a beginner diver, experience was good, although the water was fairly murky which decreased visibility, and the aquatic life (fish, primarily)... More

We made the arrangements through the website and had a lengthy correspondence through e-mail. We booked a day of snorkeling and a night's stay in one of the cabins. The snorkeling was fantastic. My daughters enjoyed it very much. The cabin was simple but well appointed, though the hot water didn't work. We didn't miss it much though. We had... More

Had a lot of fun learning to scuba dive! We did our two open water dives with Christian who was awesome. Such a pleasure to work with! My group was made of 8 people and Christian was attentive throughout. I liked that he pointed out the fish during our dives, especially since we didn't have the greatest visibility. Other Tips/Advice... More

I was picked up promptly at my hotel in Panama City and driven to Portobelo for a fun day of diving in the Caribbean. It was off season so I unfortunately couldn't do the "2 Oceans in 1 Day" excursion but I have no complaints. At first I thought my dive master, Rafael (who was excellent) and I were going... More
