This part of Bocas del Toro is gorgeous. The island of Bastimentos houses the beautiful Red Frog Beach and Resort as well as the actual village of Bastimentos and the marine park. The snorkelling is amazing, the people so friendly. Only reachable by water taxi from Bocas Town. A warning: this is the equator and it will cook you so... More

Just spent 10 days in the Bocas del Torro area. We found the BEST snorkeling and diving we've seen in 30 years. The water is SO nutrient rich that for the FIRST TIME we saw coral out feeding! We saw HUNDREDS of tube worms; it looked like an underwater flower garden. It was paradise!

The waves there are nice too. You must pay $ 3 to visit this beach in the entrance of the park. It´s... More

We took a water taxi out to Red Frog beach and then hiked along the coastline and through the edge of the jungle until we came to a quiet stretch of beach. The trek was mildly strenuous because of the heat and some steeper areas that were slick from rain. The swimming was pleasant because the water was calm and... More
