We went in February which is not peak season for turtles but we were assured that there was at least one every night. There was a long wait during which the guide told us just about everything possible to know about turtles! There was a lot of toing and froing of guides as they were trying to spot a turtle.... More

A simple hotel set 10 minute walk to two beautiful beaches - where the wonderful green turtles visit nightly . Staff , as in all Oman , attentive and very helpful .

The rooms are better than most you'll find in Oman. We went on the evening and morning tours and saw 3 females laying eggs each time. On the evening tour we even saw babies hatching! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Conservation policies a little questionable.

Wonderful experience I would recommend both night and morning tour just in case you don't see any turtles, we visited in the low season but were still blessed to see 2 turtles and the guide let us touch a baby one, beautiful experience so lucky have such an attraction on our doorstep.

We had a wonderful time at Ras Al Jinz and found the staff at the centre to be very friendly. Our guide was extremely competent at his job and it was with rising excitement that we all walked down to the beach in silence. Although we visited in December and at the end of the season, there were a few... More

Went last night. Booked a family bunk room. Rather sleepless night worrying whether the children would roll over the edge as no guard rails. Museum also had a few things not working. That said, room was clean and functional although I would strongly advise families to pay the extra 15 omr for the large eco tents which look really nice.... More

We booked an evening session along with many others to see the turtles but unfortunately there were none to see so everyone left disappointed. Luckily we were with family who had visited before who knew about a local beach where you can see the turtles and we were so lucky as we saw baby turtles and helped them get back... More

You come to Ras Al Jinz to experience the turtles not to spend a night in a luxury hotel despite the high rates you pay. Despite "low" season we witnessed several turtles in all phases of the turtle's nesting and even baby turtles. Great experience! The hotel was originally built as a research center, not as a hotel, therefore the... More

We stayed for one night at the luxurious tents at the Ras al Jinz visitor centre. The tents are really nice and very well equipped, even too well for an eco project. The wind was blowing strongly and th makes a lot of noise. Add your loud speaking neighbours too it and those that have the tv on loud and... More

We stayed at another resort but cam here to see the turtles laying eggs and the baby turtles hatching and going into the sea. We managed to both in the on night visiting at the start of November when laying and hatching over lap. the guides spoke good English and genuinely seemed interested in the welfare of the turtles and...
