.The wooden jetty is a nice way to stroll out to sea to look back at the seafront of the pleasant town of Swakomund

A simple must-do when in swakop. Have a leisurely stroll while the waves break under your feet. Lovely atmosphere. We wanted to have lunch at a restaurant close by, but they were all closed, which was irritating.

Quite fascinating to imagine how ships actually came in to this wharf. The Atlantic ocean is unforgiving and Swakopmund is hardly a sheltered port! The Jetty is super long with the waves crashing up through the planks. We were there in winter on a cold and blustery day. Watch your camera doesn't get wet - definitely worth a wander down... More

Really don't understand why this is listed as an attraction. At first I thought this was really to critique The Jetty restaurant but that doesn't appear to be the case. This is a long wooden plank that's nice to walk on a pleasant day if you happen to be in the area, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip... More

The sushi here is amazing. It's a pricey place for Namibian standards, but for Westerners it will still be very reasonable to cheap. I loved everything I ever ate here. Tip - if you want a great view, make a reservation 1 day in advance and tell them you'd like a corner seat during sunset, or on the balcony if... More
