I spent a morning walking the whole length of the beach and back again. It is a truly beautiful walk. The walk takes you passed the local children playing football and swimming the clear waters and then through the camel and horse rides. This is such a lively beach, but without the usual hassles of "looky looky sellers"

With a reputation as wild and windy, we got the beach for a calm few days of beautiful sunshine. From the port end, through the busy central are full of swimmers and footballers, to the camel and horse rides, then down to the wide expanses popular with surfers, there's so much going on. The water was clean, and the views... More

Many Europians swimming in October. smooth sand. A coffee stand near here(4dh). Wind is so strong, and there is nothing to avoid the sunshine, you should take your sunscreen cream!

Really enjoyed this beach and how many Moroccans visit and enjoy it. The daily temperature is pretty calm compared to other parts of Morocco so a great place to sunbathe. Sun beds are 25 Durham's each for a full day.

A long wide stretch of coast line. Very level and is an ideal place for an early morning walk. make sure you start or finish at the wharfs and watch the fishing fleet unload. However, it is prone to wind and mist.

This is my favourite seaside town out of all the ones i've visited in Morocco. It's got the lovely cool seabreeze (that can be a bit chilly in the evenings), laid back vibe and generally, a super relaxing place! it also gives off an arty feel somehow...maybe because there are so many people just chilling out everywhere (they are quite... We heard that a visit to the beach isn't always pleasant due to the wind blowing the sand everywhere but we were lucky to visit on a quiet weather day. The beach was full of sunbathers and boys playing soccer. A few musicians were roaming the area playing for tips. The beach is expansive and visually quite beautiful. We didn't... More

Essaouira is an amazing city by the atlantic with one of the most beautiful medinas full of small shops and easy going fellows. At the end of the enormous beach you can find dunes, camels, horses and a big selection of watersports plus beach bars with dance music. Essaouira has the perfect combination of traditional and modern and a very picturesque high end!

Great beach for kite surfing or regular surfing lessons. Not great waves for more experienced riders though. A little too windy to just lay out, temperatures do not get overly warm, so sun tanning can be a chilly experience. You'll find locals offering 4x4, camel or horse rides and tours further up the beach as well. Safe area, like most... More
