At the entrance of the old medina, in a former almond warehouse, l'Atelier Madada welcomes you under its stone arches. By small groups (8 persons maximum) and supervised by a professional team (a cook and a trilingual presenter) our hosts discover the secrets of Moroccan gastronomy and are initiated into the delights of one of the best cuisine in the world. In a friendly and casual atmosphere, those half-day workshops teach each participant how to prepare a full traditional meal that one can then easily reproduce at home.

Mona was our teacher, Alison our translator and Yasmin our keeper! We had great fun learning how to make a marinated courgette salad and a Chicken Pastilla. We learnt so much about the ingredients, how to prepare as well as the history and special occasions that the dish is cooked for. We chose what to cook as we were the... More

The place is really welcoming (and so is the staff!) and big enough for a 8-person class. Mona, the cook, is really sweet and talented! She really knows how to pass on her knowledge in an efficient way so that we can make the dishes again at home. The tour in the spice souq while the tajines re cooking was... More

This cooking class exceeded all our expectations and more. The environment is very nice decorated, really spacious and well looked after. With the view into the attached restaurant you get just an amazing sense of space, which took us already in a very nice mood. We have been to some other cooking classes before which where nice, but we never... More

Every aspect of the cooking class was managed professionally but with a good dose (or perhaps sprinkling) of humour and insight. Alison was knowledgable and engaging, and the Chef was a real character (in a good way). The food we all created was delicious and I would have happily done at least another day if they had had space. No... More

Loved this half day cookery course. It was the highlight of my trip. I learnt so much about the spices and all about tagine cookery. Highly recommend this.

My boyfriend and I did the patisserie making class. It was fab! We learnt how to make biscuits and pastries, with a break for tea. The lesson was done in English and French and was informative, fun and one of our holiday highlights!

We were six people in the class. We learnt how to cook a soup, and a tajine (the first person to sign up gets to choose the menu). We also went to the spice market while the food was cooking, and then we ate the food for lunch. Great kitchen, excellent people, really enjoyed it!
