This living museum gives visitors an overview of Sarawak major racial groups, their way of life and culture. Accepted a tour package with dinner from a Travel Agent whom in thier brochure printed the tour starting @ 2.30pm from our hotel lobby. However things began to get sticky, they said there wasn't enough persons and dinner is called off then they said they had to move it earlier to 2 pm without giving details as to why so?... more

hi everyone! kuching is great. here is one of the attractions i went to. Cultural village (living museum) : in the cultural village you will be able to feel the experience of being in an long house, having a look at the shrunken head (real),blowing a blow pipe and watching the different tribe dances.(the dances happen in a theater). around... more

What a sensational place. Someone has really done some work and made this place a joy to visit. It's great to see the traditional houses of the Sarawakians and some of the crafts and activities they undertake there. The village is set up around a small lake in a lovely setting with timber walkways leading you round to each "house".... more

The cultural village as seen in guides or ads might seem a bit too touristy but it turns out to be a very good idea to spend a half day there.
