The Esplanade starts near the Grand Margarita Hotel and finishes near the Square Tower. The walk is very pleasant either day or night with day walks allowing you to join a Sarawak River cruise of your choice. Day walks also allow the viewing of the historical plaques tracking the Sarawak area history. Night walks allow a visitor the lights of... More

The place is very suitable for family leisure. Cleanliness is great with many stalls selling snack..but the price is quite expensive here..my children really enjoyed themselves.

This is a very pleasant walk and you have the option of a boat ride to see some of the historic monuments like Fort Marguerita closer. We walked down this and spent some time sitting and simply soaking in the view. The plaques at regular intervals are very interesting bits of information. Nice way to spend an hour or 2.... More

good place to meet up and hang around as it is close by with pretty much everything. Water taxi/ boat service available at multiple stops for you to go across and buy kek lapis ( layered cake which Sarawak is famous for). Street vendor starts to open at dawn up to midnight during weekend.

Short and sweet this riverside walk was a lovely place to meander at sunset on the nights we were in Kuching -- helped that it was near our hotel. It's a short but nice walk to take in the river (and a few local snacks if you're so inclined).

Nice relaxing walkway beside the river. Some night market vendors and musicians provide entertainment in the evenings.

Our hotel was just around the area. We walked there after check-in and it was so quiet at night. On another day , when we were going on the cruise , the waterfront was so quiet! Only a few stalls around selling the Ramly burger.

Nothing much to do beside walking and sitting there and have a chitchat with your friends. There are few stalls that sell souvenirs and snacks along the sidewalk. Me and my friends took the boat ride to the other side of the river and pay rm1/person.

The esplanade is not far from the main Kuching CBD. There are lots of souvenir shops across the road from it. It’s a nice walk and a good way to orientate yourself in the city. The river seems a bit murky. We went on a cruise and it was an enjoyable way to see a bit of the city from... More
