Enjoyed exploring the shops but they do close early about 6pm. We found some lovely wooden drinks coasters and pan stands made out of rubber wood that we have stuck felt to the underside of which are a real talking point. Unika Borneo was just of the main shopping part turn right when facing the Tua Pek Kong Temple and... More

It is relatively clean. Not much to see. The river is a bit filthy. No where really to stop and have a cool drink.

Also known as Kuching Waterfront, this place comes alive as the sun starts to set. Has one of the best sunsets in the city esspecially after rainfall. Buzzing with activities and a great way to enjoy walking from Kuching's old quarter to the new modern side of the city. At night, the place comes alive with indie performers.

Many little market stalls along the water...we watched a reggae band too. Many pretty lights .. a great spot to walk before or after dinner.

Very nice to walk of the jetlag ;) Not sure I'd walk it too late at night, but in the day it is very pretty to walk along the river into town

The Esplanade is a great way to learn the history of Kuching. Starting near the hotels the first plaque was found and we walked our way through them. Also took a bumboat cruise along the river after having lunch at the James Brooke Bistro. Cruise took an hour and learnt a lot just looking, there was no commentary involved, just... More

The Esplanade is a nice place to visit for those who love quiet surrounding. It was less lively than I first visited some 10 years ago. Seems like much lesser tourist these days at the Esplanade. There are many historical places as well as new additions nearby. Ones can take a 40-50 sen boat ride across Sarawak river to the... More
