Spent every night walking and taking in the sights along this waterfront. Very interesting and there is a few little eateries and stalls to buy souvenirs. Great place to sit and relax

I visited the Kuching Esplanade at about 8.00 am and would recommend that this be included in your itinerary when you explore the city centre. Kuching esplanade is opposite the Main Bazaar road and it will take about 20 minutes casual walk from end to end. The Chinese History Museum is located here, and there are jetties along the walkway... More

Really beautiful city and lovely people. I felt very safe walking alone. The dragon boats were really worth seeing.

The Kuching Esplanade, which parallels the 'Sungai Sarawak,' is a brick*cobblestone mosaic walkway, almost a kilometer-long. This is a yet another corridor of greenery in Kuching, with plenty of benches for taking in the sights. At night, there are vendors and buskers a-plenty, making it a friendly, lively, well-lit stroll. There are souvenirs, layer-cake, sarongs, jewelry, lots of eateries, historical... More

A great place for a stroll at anytime of the day but particularly at sunset. As a resident of KK, I was impressed with how clean this public area was. We enjoyed chatting with tourists & locals alike as everyone here seemed to be in as relaxed a mood as the river lazily flowing alongside.

So much more could be made of this area. Nice walk at sunset. Would benefit from a few food stalls along the riverside

Nice walkway that runs along the river. Beautiful views at sunset. Some places to eat and some benches to rest and enjoy the view. Taking a boat to the other side offers a differant view of the city.
