Swimming across the river to a cave and plodding up a stream through mud to a waterfall were both great fun, while lunch at the village was another fun pitstop. Wear something you don't mind getting wet :) The guides were nice and inclusive, encouraging good group interaction, whole operation was well organised and was a very productive and satisfying... We had a wonderful day kayaking with James and Beko as our guides. My daughter had never kayaked before and quickly got the hang of it. We stopped off to visit a waterfall, had a delicious lunch, kayaked into a cave and a swim in the river. All with the beautiful backdrop of the Sarawak mountains. I think this is... More

Not for those looking for excitement, this was a beautiful, peaceful slow kayak through with a stunning back drop. We stopped off at a little inlet and to have a short walk to a little waterfall and pool. The water was crystal clear and worth a little paddle.

This was such a good day on our Borneo trip. We headed down to the nature reserve first thing in the morning to see if we could catch sight of the orangutans... However because it was fruiting season we were warned we may not see them. After an hour or so none had made an appearance so our guide James... More

In May 2013 I did a kayaking trip in the tropical rain forest around Kuching! I really enjoyed the trip. It is a nice trip to escape the city life for a while. The views during the trip are amaizing. I little bit disappointing is that there isn't any wildlife to see. during the trip they served a really nice... More

We had a private tour for the kayaking (my family of 4) as we were short on time. The scenery surrounding the river was gorgeous - interesting limestone formations, mountains in the background, cliffs with huge plants growing off of them, etc. The river was not too wide, so the banks weren't too far away. The kids enjoyed swimming alongside... More

We started our day off hoping to spot an orangutan at the semmengog reserve but because of an unexpected climate shift there was an additional fruit season and therefore we did not see any orangutans as they were not interested to be fed by humans. Despite this disappointment we went on to have a lovely day with James and Beko,... More

I'd signed up for the Rainforest Kayaking & Orang Utan package & was punctually picked up from my hotel by James at 8.00am. Our first stop was at the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, but I won't go into details about my visit here & will write a seperate review about it. Anyway, after finishing off at Semenggoh at about 9.30am, James... More
