Real caving for everybody! Easy, intermediate and technical day trips through fabulous, deserted caves. Educational too - we run presentations on local geology and archaeology. We can supply you with all equipment and protective clothing - bring a towel and T-shirt. Dangerous? No! We have an excellent safety record which makes Kuching Caving as safe as shopping. "The best thing we did in Kuching" is the reaction from most of our guests. Western managed. Established 2007.

From when my first email contact with James on arriving in Kuching, then he, Gary and a local guide made sure everything worked seamlessly to get me on to an excursion (at only 2 days' notice, and booking for just one person), enjoy a great day out, and delivered back to my hotel with lots of stories to share with... I'd never properly been caving before but so glad that we allocated a day to spend in the caves with James, who was the best guide ever! James is a cave expert and it's really not one of those adventures where you just "do" (though there were challenging parts), but also -learn-. Learned so much about the caves, rock formations,... I've done caving trips in Peninsular M'sia and the Philippines before - but must say this was a uniquely different experience. James' love for the caves was evident (and infectious), and he made a huge effort to teach us about the geology, wildlife and cultural history of the caves. I even remarked to my friend that it felt like we... More

Amazing is an understatement! For first timers like us, we are already "addicted" to caving! It is infectious especially for nature lovers. For caving in Kuching, trust only these cavemen, James and Paul! They are sincere, honest, punctual and damn fun! Safety is their priority... Oh yes they are like walking encyclopedia! Awesome mampus! A 10 star! See you all... More

James was amazing and this was easily the highlight of our trip. My wife and I saw 2 different caves, it wasn't the dinky kind of cave that hundreds of people walk through every day. This was the real deal. He provided all the necessary equipment and was knowledgable about everything. It was clear, this is his passion and we... More

My family and I opted for the Lobang Batu Tour + Dinner, and had a great time with Paul as our guide (expat). After hotel pickup, Paul brought us to the office, where we were given a thorough safety briefing on our experience ahead. Equipment was well maintained and there was a toilet with running water in their office. Plenty... More

My family and I went on the Lobang Batu Adventurous Caving Trip with Paul and a local guide. It is one of those awesome experiences which one will never ever forget in life! The month of December is a rainy season. It has been raining for days... the ground was wet and muddy but it was wonderful as it was... More

Thankyou for an excellent review. Starting with the poncho question. Personally I don't use them (except to sleep under occasionally) because they get caught up on things and they make you very sweaty so you end up wet from the inside instead of wet from the outside. Also, as you are going to be in a river towards the end... More

Going caving with James was such an incredible experience and so much fun! James is incredibly knowledgeable about the caves, wildlife and area and his passion ensured a fantastic day. I think we learnt more in one day than we did the entire time we spent in Borneo. The caves are stunning and we were made to feel so comfortable,... More

Great review - Thankyou. And the wonderful thing is that there is still more to learn and share. We found a very cute snake in the dark recently that we had never seen in a cave before. More

We've done caving in a few places in Asia but this was by far the one of our favorite experience -- guides (expat and local) were knowledgeable and friendly, while the cave was a challenge and blast to explore (never done a river caving before!). Great company and excellent way to spend a trip to Kuching. Be prepared to get... More
