Description:

Real caving for everybody! Easy, intermediate and technical day trips...

Real caving for everybody! Easy, intermediate and technical day trips through fabulous, deserted caves. Educational too - we run presentations on local geology and archaeology. We can supply you with all equipment and protective clothing - bring a towel and T-shirt. Dangerous? No! We have an excellent safety record which makes Kuching Caving as safe as shopping. "The best thing we did in Kuching" is the reaction from most of our guests. Western managed. Established 2007.

Many thanks to James and his team for an amazing experience. He found a 'new' cave that appeared to have had no prior 'visitors' - how great to see what others had not see before. A trip not to be missed.

We did a day adventure caving trip to Lobang Batu and I would highly recommend this if you are looking for outdoor activities to do in Kuching. It as fairly easy with a good hike to and from the caves. It does get quite slippery at points and requires a bit of maneuvering around jungles trails so be prepared. The... More

We did the 'big chambers cool streams' trip, and loved every minute of it. It's not the cheapest thing to do in Kuching, but for this money you get a full day of adventure, a very friendly local and expat guide and an expedition into one of the many caves around Kuching. There are no other tour groups and there... More

Spending the day with James was a fantastic experience. His knowledge of local history , plants and animals was amazing. From the moment he picked us up at 0815 hrs to being dropped back at our hotel at 1930 hrs was jammed packed with adventures. Lunch at Emma's was the wonderful .. the best Rendang ever! Thanks James

We had James as our guide and it was apparent from the beginning he was both knowledgable and passionate about what he did. The caves were magnificent and James was careful and diligent the whole time (I like to see snakes and spiders but not be bit). Safety and respect for the location and our surroundings were always top of... More

Honestly spending a day with James and Kuching Caving is worth the trip to this corner of Borneo! James is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about what he does - which makes the while experience of travelling 1000m into a cave even better! Capping off the day with dinner at a local restaurant where James is almost regarded as family... More

On a sweltering day towards the end of last year, James Handfield-Jones collected me from my hotel in Kuching for an amazing whirlwind tour of some of the key sights in and around Kuching. This was the Tringgus trail, with a some additions from the Bau History excursion. We began with a visit to the orang utan sanctuary, who obligingly... More

Thank you james! Thats basically it. It was SO awesome to spend the day experiencing Borneo from your point of view. James, you see, is like a walking encyclopedia of Borneo and its history. Still he's not the least bit boring but rather fun to be around. He provided us with the most memorable day of our Borneo trip and... More

We did 3 activities With James and we can recommend all of them. The Cave trip is great because it is very untouched Caves, one of the actually holding on to the rockside as we "Climb" further into the Cave. Relax - it is for everyone, not difficult! We enjoyed seeing large spiders and snakes and got alot of information... More

My partner and I have gone caving with James many times and all I can say is that each time is different from the last. Definitely a must-do if you really want a more adventurous Kuching experience. Our last visit was on 1 July 2015.
