We stayed in the hostel which was very clean, spacious and cosy. The food in the park was excellent, quite a great variety of foods, friendly kitchen staff. The daytours were great, the guides were friendly but quite strait forward. We did the pinnacle trail which we had heard was quite hard. You hace to book in advande, we booked... More

a trip to the center of the earth with very good accommodations and perfect indicated treks. everything start with the landing in the middle of nowhere. you can easily stay 3 days and choose between the amazing deer cave (honestly even more impressive as in the movies), the deep jungle to listen to the "what?" frogs and look for the... We just got back from our trip to Mulu NP. We stayed in a longhouse private room and in the hostel. The longhouse room was very spacious, tidy and very comfortable. The hostel was good value for money but since without air con it was a bit hot at night. By in large the staff were rude, almost hostile but... More

We stayed at the Mulu Park HQ, and were booked into the Palm Bungalow. We love our room, which was sat at the edge of the rain forest, and were put the sleep by the croaking of frogs, and waken up in the morning by bird calls. Raised wooden broadwalk were laid out in the HQ grounds and into the... More

great activities for all nature lovers. The garden bungalow is a nice option to stay, near to the caves. However, the power will be off from 12 midnight to about 6 am in the morning. Thus, for those whose need air conditioning, please find another option for accommodation. The fees for the guided tours are very mininum, worth it. More

Definately a must if you visit Borneo! Staying in the Hostel is of great value for backpackers and they also have nice bungalows. The caves are amazing, but that is no surprise since they are the biggest, longest etc. caves in the world. Most of the activities are guided but there are also somethings you can do by yourselves, like... More

I attempted the Sarawak Chamber (advanced caving) trek with a good buddy of mine this Jan and I highly recommend this activity. One needs to have completed the intermediate cave activity (racer cave... Etc) before your permitted to register for the Sarawak Chamber or have established previous caving experience. The trek costs MYR 225 and requires a whole day... They... More

This place was awesome. I stayed 5 days. Deer and Langs Caves on day 1. Pinnacles Days 2,3,4. Canopy walk day 5. The caves and the pinnacles are a must. It is quite a difficult trek up to the pinnacles, but it was well worth it! Spent about 600RM (food and all trips and accomodation). They take credit! More

We stayed in a longhouse at Mulu for 3 nightsand had a wonderful stay. The accomodation was spacious and clean and the food in the cafe fine. The staff at HQ and those who took us on the guided walks were all helpful and wanted us to have a good experience. The caves are brilliant and to see the bats... More

I spent 3 nights in Gunung Mulu Park in Dec. 2011. I had emailed the park for accomodation, reserving a Long House for 2 nights; they had nothing left for my first night, and suggested a homestay. The homestay was just outside the park entrance and was "very basic" (and cheap: RM15), but worth the experience. It was essentially a... More
