Riverbug collected us from our hotel in city KK by minvan first and then transferred us to a large coach which made the 1 1/2 hour bus trip comfortable. Then joined local train for another 1 1/2 hour journey into the rainforest area which was a bit bumpy but worth the trip to see outside of city KK and great... More

Great service from the Riverbug staff. Everything was a fun, safe, and well managed. I could have used a crazier river, which I heard is higher up the mountain! More

This trip came recommended by some other travelers we met and we decided to give it a try too. What a great day. We booked it from KK, so it starts early as trip to the river takes a long time: first by bus, then by train but it is very scenic and interesting. The staff is very professional and... More

I called Riverbug directly, and they charged only MR170 per person, inclusive of a bus ride to the site, insurance, guide, equipment, rafting, and a BBQ lunch. Kiulu is graded as a Class I/II river. We were picked up from Le Meridien at 9am and reached the riverbank about 90 minutes later. We were given careful instructions by an English... More

Good 3 hours coach ride from Kota Kinabalu to Tenom town + about hour train ride to the starting point. As the train traveling along Padas River adrenaline starts pumping as the sound of the roaring river can be heard. River water murky and rapids are horrifying. Not for the faint hearted but, definitely is the greatest experience in life! More
