Hard work but lots of fun. We did the Low's Peak Circuit after the ascent to the summit early morning. The Via Ferrata was really well done. Our group included 2 Aussie climbing instructors who couldn't fault the course. Pendant hut is cosy and sleeping is warm. Ask the staff nicely if you want a hot shower and they may... More

Very expensive and standard package do not come with lunch. They do not give refund when the ferrata trip is cancelled. Do not listen to Mountain Torq recommended agency which they tell her to try book with All Borneo Connection (ABC) Tours. Their service is very bad and we are very disappointed and regret. The good is we stay in... More

The via ferrata on Mount Kinabalu is a must do activity on top of the climb to the summit. There's no better way to see the mountain and to experience the sheer drop offs. The views from the mountain side were amazing and the forest trail on the quiet side of the mountain is not to be missed. The guides... More

the climb up Mount Kinabalu was exciting and interesting for my family with two children, aged 11 and 14. We had prebooked AND PAID for a via Ferrata package. Unfortunately, due to weather concerns, the via Ferrata event was cancelled. THERE WAS NO REFUND. I thought, I should get back at least 50% of the via Ferrata cost. But NO.... More

The via ferrata with Mountain Torq is a great experience but it does ramp up the hardship factor involved in climbing Kinabalu. Most do the v ferrata as part of their descent after climbing the peak and it takes anything from about 90 minutes upwards, depending on the agility and experience of the group you're assigned to - altho no... We booked on the via Ferrata tour and were not disappointed. The climb up was amazing, with great weather. The food at the top was surprisingly good for on top of a mountain. The summit day we had bad weather so couldn't do the via ferrata, but was still a great climb as this meant we weren't with the other... More

Once in a lifetime for me to climb KK, it was made extra special to climb down on walk the torq. The view was better than just the usual climb down, and they always have space on their 2 day climbs. We booked 3 weeks in advance via amazing Borneo(who were very professional). If ur going to climb the mountain,... More

Excellent adventure and great fun!!! After the summit we did the "Walk the Torq", super introduction to the following day. Day 2, we did the "Preamble" and climb up to Mt Kinabalu plateau. Amazing experience all in all!!! The guides and staff made everything perfect. Good food and totally professional service helped to make this a very special add-on to... More
