If you book your tour through any tour operators at Jesselton Point jetty, 9 out of 10 they will suggest that you do some parasailing or banana boating at Manukan Island. It is not that cheap and I think these islands are better for snorkelling.
It's a boat ride of 1/2 hour out into the open sea. Be sure to...

Manukan island is one of the biggest islands in TAR park. There is a resort on this island if you want to stay albeit very expensive. There were more fish and chorals here but if you swim form the shore do be careful while swimming among rubbish. Your best bet is to swim from the jetty. Much less rubbish there....

Enough said. Had to swim out like 10m just to see corals and there were plenty of sea urchins. Skip this island unless you just plan to laze on the beach and not go snorkeling

This island is HUGE!! in comparison to the smaller islands, it is not as beautiful (Sapi is the best island I Believe!) but is more catered to the tourist such as lunch spots and bars.

The beach is nice, but nothing compared to Philippines' Boracay. We were there on a weekday, so not much people around. The place is well maintained, peaceful and secured. The children enjoyed the boat ride and...

Went to manukan island during a day of island hopping. It's very touristic, snorkeling possibilities rather limited. Maybe good for people who want to do things as banana boat ride etc. When we went it was quite crowded. I prefer other islands such as Sapi. It's more quiet there and snorkeling is better.
Again surprised to have all foreigners pay...

Manukan is well maintained, here you can go scuba-doo. is like riding the scooter underwater where don;t need to put on heavy diving equipment. A bit costly but worth the experience.
