We were super lucky we saw an elephant driving into resort off the bumpy road in, that was pretty cool. Saw a few orangutans, they were hard to spot at times, saw lots of monkeys, some crockodiles and lots of birds. The river was refreshing to swim in after hiking around in the super hot humid air. Good trekking for... More

I went to Danum Valley Field Center for some research with my friends in june 2015. It was an extraordinary experience as we get to see various types of biodiversity which are literally rare. Just beware of those leeches every time you go for trekking or whatever that engage you with the forest because you are actually stepping on their... More

Great walks, spotting orangutans, monkeys, birds and small mammals in a very beautiful forest. Good guides and diverse activities including also river floating. Good buffet but no good espresso coffee. Very expensive for what you get with a standard chalet which needs some better maintenance and renovation.

Loved every minute of our stay. Everything was perfect from the friendliest staff to the food, accomodation and the knowledgable guides. We have vowed to return as so wished we had a longer stay here. Truly magical and thrilling to see so much wildlife. A trip not to be missed and would thoroughly recommend visiting this fabulous place!

We stayed at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge, which is quiet luxurious for such a remote place 2 1/2 hour drive on gravel road from Lahad Datu. The 3 Days 2 nights package is highly recommended. Good food and nice accommodations (book the deluxe rooms overlooking the Danum River)They offer various activities such as canopy walks, nocturnal jungle walk, open air safari... More

We spent 2 nights and 3 days in a deluxe room, which disappoint us a little with it's old fashion decor (compared to a fabulous deck area) and a fan but no AC. However, our guide Feasan did an excellent job in selecting grate walks night or day, during which we saw lots of wildlife, including the rare leopard cat... More

Organized this via Sticky Rice in KK who arranged a great few days in Danum. They provided a fantastic guide (Atteh) who was extremely patient and flexible with our requests to find some of the cool critters of Borneo. We missed orangs, leopards and elephants but had a fantastic time searching for them nonetheless. We requested 2 night drives that... More

We have booked a package at Borneo Rainforest Lodge for 2 nights, 3 days. We were welcomed very warmly, with a drink. People over there know what service means, they are very very very friendly. The rooms are beautifully and are equipped with solar systems for heating the water. We had a deluxe room, with a jacuzzi on the veranda.... More

Amazing place to see! Very special. It is difficult to obtain a reservation, but please keep trying and calling the number. Well worth it! We stayed in a private room, same as the dining room building. The accommodation was great, very comfortable and super clean. Super quiet. We heard that the dorms.... were not so nice. And they are quite... More

An area of primer rainforest. It was the main purpose of our trip to Borneo to experience this. Breathtaking, excellent accommodation at the Rainforest Lodge. Experienced, knowlageable guides and superb catering. Lots to do all day even if you are no expert on birds and plants.
