Headhunter's display? I expected a Disneyfied product, but was quite satisfied with the simple museum with interesting artifacts and the well-informed guide who explained the cultural history of the old village in very good English.

In the heritage village we saw old buildings completely made of things like bamboo, with logs making the steps into the buildings. We saw how blowpipes were made, a hard wood trunk is cut, then the pole stood up, the men then climb on to a high stand and hammer a hole right through the middle, this can take up... More

Had village myself and tour with knowledgable young guide, which was just as well because there was no explanatory leaflet available. Interesting little place, but at 55 MYR quite expensive, even more if you want to see a cultural show. One can buy a replica skull in the shop, ideal gift.

The village is not far from town and quite inexpensive to visit. Kids enjoyed the headhunter house, dart blowing and the cultural dancing. As it is in a "jungle" type area, the mosquitos are very friendly so make sure you take repellant and use it liberally. Friendly staff show you around. Recommended for a few hours.

Interesting historical information on how the head hunters lived, a cultural dance and a walk over a shaky suspension bridge.

the monsopiad head hunter tour is a good entertaining few hours visit. the history is really good and the fact that some of the original parts of the village are intact makes you imagine what it must have been like a couple of hundred years ago. they also put on a few tribal dances on plus using a blow pipe... The place is a must visit place for those who are interested with monsopiad history. Within a small compound, visitors are introduced to many kadazan dusun lifestyles. It includes their traditional house, rituals, food, culture and many more. The most interesting part is the visit to monsopiad house located across the road where real human skulls are displayed to the... More

My wife the co-pilot and me the driver headed to this place by car and got lost twice but finally we reached to our destination. Parking area is a bit hidden but just next to the main entrance. Upon arrival we went to the reception to register and make payment which was RM30 / person without guide. You then get... More
