Enjoyable, Small Museum

We liked the layout of this little museum, the information and displays of old cameras. The history was well presented and it was a nice way to spend an hour.

This museum has a good collection of old cameras dating from the first world war. Models of cameras used to take famous pictures are also represented. An interesting feature about the museum is a replica of a very famous photo studio that closed 2 years ago.

While I can appreciate the rather impressive collection of photographs and cameras from all around the world, the Camera museum is as it sounds -- all about cameras. Now, happily, it doesn't take itself so seriously. Scattered throughout the museum are quirky quotes and silly images. In the main hall, they are running a loop of weird and sometimes wonderfully... its a little museum and a place worth visiting if you come to George town. you can take pictures and the tour guide is very friendly. if you are visiting alone he will even help you to take a picture of yourself. tickets seem overpriced

They have a lot of "antique" camera models and the museum is very informative. The section on the more popular photographs in the world was very interesting. The museum is pretty small so an hour should be plenty of time
