This house was beautifully restored and the information given was interesting (the original owner's life is quite interesting!), but I never really like guided tours. You feel a little trapped in a small area for the 40-minute tour - there were at least 50 people in my tour. But I would still recommend it to anyone - there are also... More

We caught a cab to the Blue Mansion as I had heard it was a worthwhile tourist stop. Whilst I thought the one hour guided tour was amazing, I can appreciate that it may not be for everyone. Depends on one's interests. We had an incredibly funny female guide who was of Chinese descent so she was able to bring... More

La Maison Bleu as it's also known is a beautiful old house that has been restored. It has a really interesting history which is given by well informed and easy to understand guide. It's beautiful inside and out and is a great tour to do on a hot day to cool down and learn something about Malaysian history. Georgetown is... More

They run tours twice a day. It cost RM16 and was about 1 hour tour around the mansion. The lady who took the tour was very knowledgeable about the house and the history. The house has been wonderfully restored. The architecture is amazing and the intertwining of European and Chinese design together.

There are only three guided tours per day. I went at 2pm. The mansion has been restored beautifully and it's great that it's now an active hotel as well. I did have difficulty hearing our guide because we were a fairly large group. Try to stick close to your guide so you don't miss anything.

The preservation and restoration of this mansion is great. The tour through it is very good and the guide gives a very good commentary about its history. It is a pity that more than half the mansion is now a boutique hotel and restaurant and unavailable for viewing and we felt a bit short changed that we only saw about... More

This beautiful blue house is exceptional and well worth visiting. You must join a tour group as access to the whole house is restricted due to the current renovations and guest residences. The before and after renovation pictures show just how much time, care and love has been spent so far and the restoration continues.

Been here a few times and still love it here. This place is full of the culture and all ancient stuffs. Things are well maintained. Loads to take photos of. Wedding couple loves to come here for some photo taking session. Do go for the guided tour and experience the rich heritage of this old mansion!
