One place where you feel one day you wanna make lots of money and built a mansion like this for yourself. Such class in each corner of this building. The blue color adds more sheen to it. The furnitures are so good that you do wanna sit on. Its a must visit even if your not a history lover. You... More

This is an excellent restoration example. There are three guided tours per day, we chose the first at 11.30am. Our guide was, I believe, a manager called Toh, who was absolutely first rate! The only reason for the 4/5 score is the fact that not all of the mansion is open to visitors as it is a hotel (if budget... More

Guide was good and informative. However, most of the area was out-of-bounds. We were only allowed to see the center hall. We were not even allowed to take our time to see each exhibit. We were chased out of the place because they are "preparing for the next tour group". We were not allowed to use the bathroom facilities because... More

This place was great. I really was not expecting too much but I am so glad I went there. The guide has a style that is hard to be topped and the explanations walk the line between the history, the building and the human interest side perfectly. Spend the 16 ringgit and invest the hour...it is worth it.

Even though the group was huge, the guide was fantastic, bringing to life the story of Cheong Fatt Tze. Not many places accessible to the visiting public though.

Disappointed with the mass viewing and lack of opportunity to view more than one of 38 rooms. More of a history tour about the family rather than sightseeing.y

Worth a stop, with some fascinating history. The heritage tour is a little overpriced, but definitely worth it for the chance to explore.

The design inside the mansion really impress me. I'm surprised that they also have rooms decorated very nicely for visitors who would like to spend a night of two there. There is also a internal guide to guide us around and brief us some history on how this mansion is built. Nice place to take photos.

Our tour guide Clinton was very passionate and informative with a deep connection and personal history of mansion. His stories made mansion come to life Unfortunately aside from a beautiful building there is little else there. ( It was explained all the furniture had been sold off, along with most belongings). The room with the clothing and fashion interesting.

Price 16rm pp, the tourguide spoke abit soft but in good english, she gave alot of info about the history and the structure. The tour was mostely located in the centre of the building so you wont see many rooms. Its a beautifull restorated building with a lot of flair.
