Been here a few times and still love it here. This place is full of the culture and all ancient stuffs. Things are well maintained. Loads to take photos of. Wedding couple loves to come here for some photo taking session. Do go for the guided tour and experience the rich heritage of this old mansion!

It is where everyone goes and seems a bit cliche. But I think that shouldn't drive you away. The blue mansion itself is beautiful. And I would definitely recommend going there according to the guided tour time. The guide there presented the history of the mansion in an inofrmative and interesting way. Reading it up before or after won't be... More

Booked a stay here and it was fascinating to see what Georgetown would have been like back in time. The old mansion has been restored a number of years ago and staying there was very comfortable. It allowed me to see behind the scenes of what life could have been like. It was well located and we did a lot... More

Interesting to know the history and to see the architecture of this mansion. There are standard time for guided tours. The guide spoke English well. Small area to walk about and there are steps to climb. Not all the ground is open for visitation. 1 hour is more than sufficient.

A Must Visit in Penang! There's standard timing to enter the blue mansion with guided tour... An amazing historical building with interesting history and "feng shu" logic in the past shared by the guide.

This place should NOT be charging people for "tours". We saw very little of the inside of the place and the 45 minute "tour" mainly consists of an old lady with a thick accent standing in one or two places rambling on and on about the history of the place which, if one was that interested, could be far better... The ridiculousness of a fee RM16 or something like that was already costly especially that you have a certain visiting hour which isn't very organized. Even though you may have reached the venue but you still have to wait for the late comers in order for you to begin to explore the mansion. They have lousy tour guide who speaks... More

Beautifully restored, very interesting tour guide, great story about the man who built the mansion and how it was left to decay for many years. Many interesting relics, clothing from the period, photographs. You can also stay there if you like.
