Up the hill by funicular train, the view at the top is excellent, not to say about the cooling climate. Is beautiful to watch the sky turn orange so i will suggest to go up near evening. There are cafes where you can take a rest or spend hours to enjoy the view and the cool climate.

Really interesting way to get a birds eye view of parts of Penang. Great family outing and inexpensive. We had a great driver going up and did a few stops for photo opportunities and was happy to answer questions. Food at the top was cheap but good!! Great value.

the view from this place is beautiful. there are buggy's which take you around the hill, but honestly not worth spending that money and going as there is nothing extraordinary that you see. the train ride up is one of its kind beauty on both sides when your in the train

After reading nice reviews on Penang Hill, we thought this would be a great place to visit during our recent trip to Penang. Well, the view from up there was nice but beyond that, there was nothing to shout about. We thought it was less attractive than the Peak (Hong Kong) or any other highland attraction that we've visited before.... More

We visited by taxi in late April but were disappointed to find enormous queues at the bottom and the top of the hill. It felt like too many people were being squeezed into a limited amount of space The day we visited was also quite hazy so the views from the top were also a bit disappointing. We quickly turned... Came here with my brother, his wife and 5 kids. The cable ride were a great fun and we paid only RM35-39 for all (there are family packages available). The food court is slightly expensive but the Chinese fried rice stall and another char koay teow stall is quite good! Toilets are clean and smells good. The 15-minutes buggy ride... More

The train ride was fun and not that bad a price as we got round-trip tickets for $5 per person using a family package. We didn't have to wait long. The view from Penang Hill is really amazing. Just beautiful. I had researched ahead of time and decided we'd head up in time to eat dinner at the food court... More

This is a must do attraction in Penang. There a fee of $50.00 ringgits per person. Great views from the top of the Hill. The train ride was not to bad. Takes about 5 min to get to the top. There a small food court and souvenir shops at the top.

The cable car ride is spectacular, I think it's the worlds longest. The views from the hill are spectacular even with smog, try to pick a clear day and WOW! There are plenty of things to see once you're on top of the hill, possibly plan for 1/2 day to take it all in.
