There is a RM10 entrance fee, yet I never regret to be there. The building has very nice carving art, though not comparable to those in China, I'm very glad that our country still preserve this heritage.

A DIY kind of visit with a gallery sharing more about the history of the Khoo clan in Penang and notable members. Great architecture further enhanced with the interesting insights from the gallery.

A beautiful architectural building tucked in a corner on one of the oldest street in Penang with a beautiful courtyard and a traditional theatre in the front. We have been to a couple but this is one of the best and most elaborate. The lower part of the temple has a little museum that gives you a history of the... More

This temple is great with great architecture. The temple is well situated and you have the chance to pray and watch what they do. It is quite close to the city. Take the time to look at the doors and the details of this temple.

Visited the Khoo Kongsi shortly after touring Peranakan Mansion - so this is perhaps an unfair confession! Khoo Kongsi is a beautiful building & the history of the clans is interesting & well explained. It is however not nearly as immersive as Peranakan Mansion. We were there with 3 children (7-9) - who very quickly became bored with the Khoo... More

As GeorgeTown has been bestowed with the 'Historical Site' status by UNESCO on the 07.07.2008. This building is a famous site in location where unique cultural building antique is concerned. It has also been feathered very prominently in the promotion of George Town, a place to visit while in Penang.

This place is good, but I feel that more information signs should be placed so that visitors can have more detailed information about it.

found it after walking around in the hot sun. There is an film about the place located towards the back which gives some history about the clan and clan houses in general. There's also some interesting ornate art work as well.
