Everyone will be amazed at the conservation work that has been done. It's clean, well-kept. Should pay a visit to this cool temple.

This is is a very interesting temple - one i had not visited before. It is in possibly the most gentrified part of Georgetown, which is not a bad thing!

The temple is located quite far from the city center . It is not more special than other temples, maybe a bit bigger.

This is a beautiful temple for the Khoo clan. You can tell its importance by the amount of open space in front of it, as space is a valuable commodity in Penang. The museum below the temple is worth your time to see as it not only shows the restoration process but the history of how a Chinese clan got... More

Amazing 'Clan House'. I really enjoyed wondering through this temple and is a 'must see' when visiting Georgetown. We arrived early in the day (9.30am) which had two bonuses - one, we beat the heat and two, we had the whole complex to ourselves. This is a big plus when trying to take photos without loads of tourists in the... More

Not usually over impressed by mainly photographic displays , but this one was fascinating set alongside the sumptuous temple complex.

I enjoyed my visit very much. You see museum telling you about the history of the Khoo clan, but much more impressive can enter their temple. The temple is full of little details and can easily compete with much more famous places.

One of the small shrines where you can see another piece of local history. Small museum dedicated to Khoo clan members. Definitely some guide is missing. It could help to understand meaning of certain exposition elements. We were lucky to meet a pair of local tourist that explain us foundation of shrine parts. Before you will go there alone it... There are many clan houses in Penang, reflecting the past glories of closely knit clans (families that shared the same surname). They emigrated to Penang in the late 18th and 19th century, often coming from the same village, in search of a better life. Hard work and determination, the elders enlisting the help of all Khoo newcomers, their efforts to... More

U can skip to visit because it's just a place where Khoo descendants worship their ancestors. There is small museum show history about khoo's family.
