No special in this Botanical Garden, Only thing which we can see is some new varieties of fauna and flora which have origin from Malaysia and rather than that, the same as like others.

A lovely garden with some exotic species. A good walk around. There is a car that can take you round but I would say you get a better time viewing everything by walking. There are separate gardens such as the cactus house etc and monkeys roam freely although they don't tend to approach you but are happy to pose for... More

We took a lovely walk around these gardens. Very impressive and peaceful. Except for the herb garden, which was pretty much non-existent. The Japanese gardens and the turtles were highlights for us. Lots of locals chose to exercise here and you can see why.

My wife and I joined the free walk-about organised by Penang Global Tourism end June 2014. The walk was for abt 40 min and was at a comfortable pace with abt 20 pax in the group. It was very educational and since it was at 9.30am, it was shady and cool (still). There is a lot one can do on... More

We had a taxi hired for a few hours and went to the Botanical Gardens. They are well maintained and are beautiful. There is a main walking path and also smaller paths branch off going up or down. We went down to the Japanese Gardens which housed a great waterfall and creek. Our aim for our visit was to see... More

We visited by taxi in late April on a rather damp day but still enjoyed the unspoilt beauty of this nicely landscaped tropical garden. The range of flora on show was fascinating with everything carefully maintained and presented. We were pleasantly surprised to see small monkeys wandering around and feeding freely. The gardens had a quiet charm about them which... More

Unlike many other attractions that are crowded with tourists. The Penang Botanical Gardens is a place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Bring along some water and a book to read is a great way to spend your time there. Don't forget to wear light clothing due to the humid tropical climate and make sure to wear a good walking shoes... One of the better attractions along the North coast of the island, you can spend an entire day here walking the gardens. Very descriptive signs for each section of the audio walking tour. You can follow several different paths and easily lose track of where you are with so many areas to see. The large rope swing is a nice... More

Great place to feel the nature without having to go all the way up to Penang Hill. For a hike or for a lie down on the grass. Also good for early morning taichi practice :-)
