This is the most romantic place we visited during our honeymoon trip. It was not too crowded on a weekday around noon so we had almost the park to ourselves. Our hotel staff told us this place gets too crowded in the evening. There are many trees, some of them are huge and many naughty monkeys too. The only problem... More

The air is special after rain. Cute monkeys everywhere and it is very green! It is a good place for walking, not interetsing for children. I hope the workers collect rubbish because they are everywhere. Bins are full and people thro rubbish.

Well maintained and very clean, but these "gardens" are a little out of the way from Georgetown and it's not a must see. Nice play to spend an hour or two to relax.

Really nice gardens to walk, jog around. Note this is a non smoking park! If you can't walk you can jump the tractor ride .

We only spent a few hours in the gardens, as respite from exploring bustling Georgetown, enjoying a small picnic on the grass near a little stream. As we visited in July it was hot and humid, so the shade was a welcome sight. There is a "train" that takes you on a small circuit round part of the gardens, which... More

This is the place to go to to chill out, take a leisurely walk, exercise or jog, practice your Tai chi or Xi Kong, and breathe the early morning fresh air. Don't feed the monkeys!

A good collection of trees and plants although July is not the best time to visit the gardens as very few trees/shrubs were in bloom.

The botanical gardens are set in a beautiful little valley surrounded by steep hills. The flora is lovely but the fauna was the real start of the show.

approx. 25 MYR taxi fare from Georgetown, walked in the gate & hopped straight onto the tram (2MYR) for a ride around the park (approx. 15 minutes) we didn't go into the separate houses (cactus, orchid etc), but they looked interesting, interesting, well signposted fauna,we saw 10 - 15 adult monkeys & 5-6 cute babies, very charming. Obviously a favourite... More
