Worth visiting this road. So many to see. The wall art, streets photos, and shoplots has their own unique items for sale. Great place to see local stuffs, quite similar like Malacca's Jonker street, but they're quite scattered in Penang.

The murals paint of Reaching Up are nice and these made the street famous. We like the murals paint very much !! But the parking would be a problem.
We were following a walk in our guide book and took us past here, worth a short stop as a great example of a Chinesse temple. There is a good cafe opposite that has delicious cheesecake.
We spend quite a time here looking at all the Chinese arts, paintings and the small gate Kongsi temples but it's big compound behind the doors, just like what you see in old forbidden city in China.I was impressed with all the tiny shop lots arranged accordingly along the street rows. This island is full rich of history better then some places we...

I always love visiting the heritage area, especially cannon street and cannon square. This is where a few hundred years ago, Chinese immigrants formed a society that help each others and take care of each other. The architecture of the buildings here are unique and the lay out of the buildings are interesting too. For example, Khoo kongsi at Cannon...

Cannon street is actually a very short street of great historical significance. Good photo opportunities and home to one of the beautiful street arts decorating the city. I'd recommend to take this street together with Armenian street as part of a lovely walk. Also the entrance to Khoo Kongsi clan complex is in Cannon Street.
Smart shops in the street, keep your eyes out for the street art on the gable ends of buildings. Two small children riding a bycycle, look almost real. The clan Taoist temple on the corner is worth a visit.
Cannon Street in George Town Penang is a small street with a big place in the history of this area. It played its part in the local rioting of the late nineteenth century, housing the cannons which were fired against the 'hostile elements'. Some interesting architecture, take it in as part of a tour.
A good street for cycling. The part that could be improved is the stopover points as some attractions are where cars and people fighting for space and often made enjoying these attraction difficult if you are doing the viewing town trail style.
With a visit to this place , a lot of other interesting buildings can be visited and all within walking distance. There area has been spruced up and a lot of effort has been put in to make your visit worthwhile
