Little India of Penang. Rows and rows of shops selling all things Indian such as food, tidbits, cookies, jewelries, clothes, spices, cookeries, etc. A number of Indian and Indian-muslim restaurants. Walking distance to Beach Street for Sunday morning street fair. Also short walking distance to Armenian Street where few street art can be found. All these places, even Chew Jetty... More

It is a place which serves wonderful hawker food, both during the day and at night. The stalls are small and may be easily regarded as average, but I enjoy the food there as the taste is refined and suits my taste buds very well. Excellent Indian and Indian Muslim food served here, with a variety of choices to pick... More

Well not quite Bollywood but stroll around here in the evening and there's music blaring and coloured lights and people dining in the streets. We made sure we wandered through Little India most nights just for the sights and sounds and delicious smells of food mingled with incense. Make sure you stop to eat somewhere, anywhere, around here and watch... More

Another popular street for sightseeing of old buildings, street art, and activities. There seems to be some sort of festival from one culture, religion, or people going on at any given week, so try to research if you'll be missing a street fair or lion dance while you're here.

Lots of great eateries on Queen Street, primarily Nasi Kandar -- delicious Indian-Muslim cuisine. Everything we tried was so flavorful and really cheap (though that seems to be w/ all the food in George Town). Don't miss a stroll down this street and a pop into any of the eateries for some awesome Indian food.

Part of the Little India area with plenty of shops and eateries and tasty snacks from the hawker stalls. Bollywood music coming from a couple of music/DVD shops. Well worth a visit and sampling the delights.
