Lots of great eateries on Queen Street, primarily Nasi Kandar -- delicious Indian-Muslim cuisine. Everything we tried was so flavorful and really cheap (though that seems to be w/ all the food in George Town). Don't miss a stroll down this street and a pop into any of the eateries for some awesome Indian food.

Part of the Little India area with plenty of shops and eateries and tasty snacks from the hawker stalls. Bollywood music coming from a couple of music/DVD shops. Well worth a visit and sampling the delights.

Little India of Penang island. Lots of shops selling everything from spices to saris and colourful scarves. Walk around and savour the food of the many eateries serving delicious nasi kandar and Indian sweets. A must visit.

As we had already tried most of the popular nasi kandar restaurants in the area, we decided we wanted to taste nasi kandar from a road-side stall. We were not disappointed. Simple, no frills. Plain rice served with mutton, beef, chicken or fish and a vegetable. Delicious and cheap. Note: This review is about the food we had. The street... More

If you want some good chapatis....there is a stall after the cross junction to Market Street selling chapatis. Love their sardine curry and mutton curry. Stall is open in the evening for dinner. After dinner, you can stroll around Queen Street or walk down Market Street to browse at the various Indian shops or savor some Indian sweets

Both Queen and King streets are worth a look and you might find interesting Indian shops to see and stroll around. You can also try some Indian hawker food here.

Visiting this place when Deepavali is on the verge. The place is full of brave colours, and the smell of incense and spices makes you forget that you are still in Malaysia, not India. There's a lot of cheap Saris and Punjabis, Indian food stalls, and other Indian culture item, which i can not tell what it is. Surrounded by... More

I have been heaps of times , but you get the feeling this place is full of hawkers. There used to stamp selling shops and these have gone away too.Looks like a place with the adage` every man for himself`....certainly women alone or in groups seem odd here.... Can this place improve, well no one is friendly here...all about selling and... More

Great place to shop for Indian food/drinks/clothes. Saris and Punjabis suits are available and are cheap. You may even bargain with them!
