The Owl Museum, strange enough to be located on a hill, but step in, it gets weirder. As you walk in, they have robes, wands and glasses, so you can dress up like Harry Potter. The museum itself isn't really to educate you about owls, or about the local owls, more that its some guy's ultra creepy collection of owl... More

my kids love the 3D effect and the short tour given by the museum guide. although i won't call it a Museum as there's no real owl in the museum, we understood later what's the museum about and we started to read all the collections and finds it amazing. i think they have more than 3000 pcs of arts collections... This place is within the Penang Hill but entry fee is separate but not worthwhile. Nothing inside to see only few pictures and dummy of owl.

Whatever you do, do not go to the Owl Museum on top of Penang Hill. For RM10 per adult, I expected more than just some collectors collection of owl figurines on show. I think it is a bit too much to charge people to view your personal collection of owl figurines which I could buy at the Batu Feringghi bazaar... More

Don't go! The museum is 2 small rooms of owl pictures and statues. Just enjoy the views from the top of the hill!

As stated in the review it is very terrible, it is not about OWL's but there are lots of carvings and other toys which are designed as so called OWLS .. Not even 10 minutes, you can go around the small rooms and come over .. I really thought of a good experience but it actually made me a headache... More

Actually, I have t confess to not even going in at all. There were so many touts hassling us that I deliberately refused to go, and it looked old and pretty tatty too. Tawdry little tourist 'attraction' to make up for there being little to do at the top of Penang Hill ...

Someone is funding their owl collecting hobby here. Many owl ornaments some obviously made by kids and very little information about anything is given
