There is only pictures and photos of owls... which u can easily get the info fr the internet. Nothing fantastic abt this place
The Owl Museum is not even a museum. Perhaps a mini gallery. First room, you find a craft table and about two or three walls with owl illustrations. Second room, what looks like a kid's play corner with owl soft toys, a few more illustrations and handicraft. Third room is the gift shop. That's it. I'd call it a waste... More
Maybe just because I'm expected too much or had less knowledge for this museum. :( I was expected to see an exhibition about relationship between owl and this city not a handicraft that have owl on it in every corner in museum (actually should call a store instead)
can't believe they are still in business. museum?? what a rip off! they made you pay to visit a STORE for tourist - which you typically get it for free anywhere in the world. what a big regret to go with my family of 6. forgot how much - not the cheapest but i would rather spend it on charity.... A tiny "definitely not a museum"' merely a collection of owl figurines and general tat. There is, predictably a shop selling owl inspired merchandise that you have to walk through to exit the place after the generous ten minutes it will take you to see all that is to be seen.
The art and designs on the collection of owls looked interesting and sounded extraordinary! However, the museum is on the hilltop on Penang Hill which means that one needs to get a cable car to the top of the hill to visit this museum. Besides that, the museum area is quite small. Other than that, it's okay for a visit... More
After 125 Trip Advisor reviews, I’ve never before wished this site had a zero-star option… but this “museum” doesn’t even deserve the minimum one-star rating. I was helping to coordinate a group of approx. 30 people to visit Penang Hill and when it came time for our party to depart we were missing someone. We thought maybe they were inside... More
This place is very small, and the name is misleading. For 10 RM entrance fee, you think they'd at least have one or two real owls inside. There's not. Unless you strongly want to purchase something for your 'owls-fanatic' friends (or maybe you're one yourself), don't waste your money or time going inside. Enjoy the view in Penang Hill instead.
If you have the need to waste RM10 then by all means visit this place. The exhibits are just several displays of arts and crafts and is NOT worth visiting at all. You can view the exhibits in less than 10 minutes. Definitely a rip off.
This is the most terrible museum i went in my life. I thought i can see alot of things inside. But, there's nothing inside. Just few displays of owl figures and cost RM10! I was in the museum for less than 5mins and i felt that i have been cheated and wasted 5mins of my life. There is so much... More
