We really loved the entire day she. We did this class, early start and having traditional breakfast was a nice bonus (included in price) so was the taxi out to her home after the market tour. Nazlinas home is modern and spacious and a great place for a cooking class. It's true that you don't prepare solely your own fish... More

We started off with some yummy Roti for breakfast and then hit the markets to buy all our ingredients. This was very fascinating! Her new space is great and convenient. However you don't get to cook your own meals like other classes may offer you. You all contribute to making the dishes. She is a lovely lady and explained everything... More

We won't recommend this cooking class to anybody. Last year we experienced a fabulous cooking class in Thailand and this one couldn't live up to it. We started at a local market were Nazlina showed us the local food and herbs, very interesting, although you need a very strong stomach to bare all the senses and animal slaughtering at 7h30... More

We just wrapped up a great cooking class with Nazlina in her new facility. Directly opposite the wet market, it's a great location and well set up for cooking classes, with eight cook stations and a long communal table for prep work and eating. Our class felt semi-private: just me, my wife, and two other travelers. We made chicken rendang,... More

I enrolled my mother and myself in a cooking class with the lovely and talented Nazlina Hussin the creator of this wonderful experience. We toured the wet markets and observed Nazlina purchasing the ingredients for our cooking class and she explained to us all about the different spices, fruit and food in the market. The tour included a lot of... More

After breakfast and a visit to the wet markets in Campbell Street, we travelled to Nazlina's house in Balik Pulau on the western side of the island. Nazlina showed us what needed to be done to prepare the three dishes - char kuey teow, curry chicken Kapitan and fresh spring rolls (I can't remember their proper name). We were all... More

We started the tour for a morning breakfast where we discussed what different recipes we would like to try. This was very difficult as there were 14 people in the course (including 2 children). We did a basic tour of the wet food markets that was okay. It was very difficult to hear because they are very busy places and... More

I highly recommend Nazlina's half day cooking class. This includes breakfast and visit to nearby markets to choose groceries for your class. The fee you pay Nazlina includes everything for the morning. She was a great teacher and fun to be around. Very knowledgeable and clearly known and liked by the local merchants. At breakfast she asked us what we... More

We met up with Nazlina near the markets for breakfast (NB - you don't need to wake up earlier than then start time to have brekkie if you're like me and need to start the day with food! We weren't aware we got breakfast so ate before) and we really enjoyed having a look around at the local wet markets... More
