This has had good reviews and I now understand why. It was really enjoyable! Took our time touring the local street markets for a few hours and then chop chop chop had the cooking done in no time! It was really interesting seeing nutmeg in the flesh and tasting some of the local foods. The venue is magnificent, top of... More

Attended Nazlina's cooking class. Firstly we walked the markets and it was explained to us the many types of produce required to cook Malaysian food. After stopping at a coffee shop it was time to start preparing our lunch. The highlight of the day was the Laksa. The flavours and aromas were wonderful. Nazlina was the perfect host. If you... Had a great morning with Nazlina and Peter, really enjoyed the market trip and learning about the different foods, how they're used and how it all ties into George Town's food industry. If you go in the morning do not bother with breakfast before you go,you really don't did it. There is coffee and breakfast first thing and then once... More

I am thrilled about my entire experience with this cooking class, the genius of a lovely pair of hosts. We arrived at the shop at 7:30am, and they took us next door to order a lovely local breakfast of banana pancakes with a tomato-based sauce on the side which you could add on. Then Mr. Peter - a Dutchman -... More

After breakfast we toured the markets for fresh ingredients for the mornings cooking. While Nazlina left with the perishables, Peter toured with us describing differents fruits and vegetables and a little history about local... More

We took an afternoon class where there was only 3 of us. We got straight into the lesson where Nazlina explained about the different types of food and its heritage. After this explanation we all got to contribute to the prep of the food. We made Dahl curry, roti and some verminchilli salad. We are ate the salad first as... More

I am happy that you enjoyed the class, however I would like to clarify that there is a line on the page where the booking form is that states that: "there is no market tour for all PM classes". The reason is because there is no market to go... More
