we did one of Naz' cooking classes. Started early in the morning with breakfast of roti and coffee, then a tour of various local markets including the purchase of some ingredients. Then spent the next 4 hours preparing and cooking malysian food. Included were curry puffs, and a couple of versions of roti. Great fun, Naz is a charming and... More

We booked the afternoon session for this class as we are both vegetarians and we were really pleased to have found a cookery class to accommodate our needs. Nazlina is a great teacher really enthusiastic and bubbly, we had good fun chatting and learning to cook traditional Penang dishes. Nazlina's passion for food and natural ingredients is infectious. The food... More

Everything was soo great. A nice breakfast together and then a tour around a nearby market which included information about spices, fishes, chickens and fruits. And also some history about the town.We learned a lot! And the cooking class was nice with good instructions so you could really enjoy and learn. We were like 8 of us in our class... More

My husband and I arrived to meet Nazlina and found that we were the only people in the class that day. Nazlina asked lots of questions around what food we had tried and enjoyed so far and then offered to show us how to make one of the dishes we particularly liked (laksa curry) After breakfast we visited the markets... While we enjoyed the tour of the markets, our cooking class wasn't quite what we had had in mind. We had not been told that the class was so far out of the city and would have to go there by car/taxi. The group was big and was spread across two cars. The kitchen was a little crowded and we... My girlfriend and I met for the morning class where we discovered that the other people to be in the class that day had cancelled, so the class was only the two of us. This allowed us to focus on a specific dish-- and spice level (hint: spicy!)-- that we wanted. We started the day off with a market tour... More

I took part in this experience this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. The group I was in consisted of a Canadian, an American, two Germans and two Australians and the multicultural makeup helped make the day. Breakfast was good at the coffee shop across the road, relaxing and it helped us ease into the day. OK so Peter the Dutchman... More

I have to say it was a really enjoyable course. I learned a few bits and the tour before hand was nice. The dishes we cooked were nice and recipes will be used again for sure. The free breakfast was also appreciated. Two grievances though. 1. I think the price point is a bit crazy. For €40 I would expect... More

We really loved the entire day she. We did this class, early start and having traditional breakfast was a nice bonus (included in price) so was the taxi out to her home after the market tour. Nazlinas home is modern and spacious and a great place for a cooking class. It's true that you don't prepare solely your own fish... More
