I am thrilled about my entire experience with this cooking class, the genius of a lovely pair of hosts. We arrived at the shop at 7:30am, and they took us next door to order a lovely local breakfast of banana pancakes with a tomato-based sauce on the side which you could add on. Then Mr. Peter - a Dutchman -... More

The day started with a 7am pick up from our Hotel before meeting with Peter and 2 other 'chef wannabes' for breakfast at a local eatery. After breakfast we toured the markets for fresh ingredients for the mornings cooking. While Nazlina left with the perishables, Peter toured with us describing differents fruits and vegetables and a little history about local... More

We took an afternoon class where there was only 3 of us. We got straight into the lesson where Nazlina explained about the different types of food and its heritage. After this explanation we all got to contribute to the prep of the food. We made Dahl curry, roti and some verminchilli salad. We are ate the salad first as... More

Hi LukeytaO, Thanks for spending the time to write the review. I am happy that you enjoyed the class, however I would like to clarify that there is a line on the page where the booking form is that states that: "there is no market tour for all PM classes". The reason is because there is no market to go... More

Started with light breakfast with Peter then Nazlina joined us. We discussed what we'd like to make in the cooking classes. Then wandered the markets learning so much along the way from Peter while Naz bought the fresh ingredients we'd need later. The cooking class upstairs in Naz's shop was all hands on! Cutting everything up finely was easy with... More

Visited with a couple of friends in mid April, and were fortunate enough to be the only people booked on the course. I've been on a few cooking classes over the years, so when one of the first things Nazlina said when we met her by the market for coffee and roti was "what do you want to cook?" I... More

we did one of Naz' cooking classes. Started early in the morning with breakfast of roti and coffee, then a tour of various local markets including the purchase of some ingredients. Then spent the next 4 hours preparing and cooking malysian food. Included were curry puffs, and a couple of versions of roti. Great fun, Naz is a charming and... More

We booked the afternoon session for this class as we are both vegetarians and we were really pleased to have found a cookery class to accommodate our needs. Nazlina is a great teacher really enthusiastic and bubbly, we had good fun chatting and learning to cook traditional Penang dishes. Nazlina's passion for food and natural ingredients is infectious. The food... More

Everything was soo great. A nice breakfast together and then a tour around a nearby market which included information about spices, fishes, chickens and fruits. And also some history about the town.We learned a lot! And the cooking class was nice with good instructions so you could really enjoy and learn. We were like 8 of us in our class... More

My husband and I arrived to meet Nazlina and found that we were the only people in the class that day. Nazlina asked lots of questions around what food we had tried and enjoyed so far and then offered to show us how to make one of the dishes we particularly liked (laksa curry) After breakfast we visited the markets... While we enjoyed the tour of the markets, our cooking class wasn't quite what we had had in mind. We had not been told that the class was so far out of the city and would have to go there by car/taxi. The group was big and was spread across two cars. The kitchen was a little crowded and we...
