There are so many cave temples in and around ipoh. This is supoosed to be one of the nicest, a large cave temple with beautiful, colourful designs on the cave wall. We went during CNY and it was very busy. There are also steps that climb up inside the temple then outside to the top. The stairway is quite narrow... More

It was indeed a surprise to find a Chinese Temple embedded in a cave with only its entrance jutting out. We would not have noticed its existence if we had not drive around after visiting the Gunung Lang Recreational Park which was adjacent to it. This park and temple was located in the north of Ipoh City and close to... More

This cave temple was on the way from Cameron highlands to Penang in Ipoh. We had also stopped off at Batu caves previously. This cave temple outshone the Batu caves by many levels. Firstly it was a lot cooler and steps shaded so easier to climb. The steps were dry and less risk of slippage. There are many and curve... More

It was awesome when you visited the first 1 or 2. But became boring when you had too many. They lacked the detailed explanation and guide that would have made these places interesting.

Spent hours climbing and exploring this fascinating and truly peaceful temple. An oasis of quiet and contemplation.

Forget Batu Caves -in comparison, the cave temples of Ipoh are really spectacular with a real charm!

Perak Cave Temple Located in Jalan Kuala Kangasar, Ipoh town, this temple is inside limestone caves. In the main worship placem there is a 15 m high statue of Buddha. The walls are decorated with cute handmade drawings. If you are in good shape and can climb 385 steps inside the cave, you will reach the top and enjoy a... More

Passed by here but visited here quite often when were young. We managed to reach a fair height of the lime stone hill & watched the surrounding Industrial area.

My kids and I visited several cave temples, mainly to see the limestone hills and caves. The limestone hills were an intriguing thing for the kids. Not every one is well maintained but generally they are ok. Some temples might be a tad smoky but that's to be expected. We were not able to climb the steps right to the... More
