Definitely worth a few hours of your time, don't rush & take your camera. Stream quite grubby at last one, had to dodge a few beggars & dogs but overall a very worthwhile experience.

I only went a couple of these cave temples they are just amazing, my favourite was Parek Tong, but that's just my view. Apart from the natural splendor their is also the art of the temples themselves, highly recommended if you go to Ipoh you must visit these.

I like to walk into the cave which it is dark with water falldown from the top of the caving. Abit scary but feel naturally.

Take Exit 132 S, south of Ipoh (the same exit as for Cameron Highlands). Go 5 km, then turn right at a traffic light with a Petronas station on one corner and KFC on the other, onto Jalan Raja Musa Machadi. Follow the yellow signs with red letters saying Gua Kek Look, taking the second right turn, about 2 km... More

I went to following 3 cave temples which is not far from each others.( south Ipoh) Kek Lok tong 南天洞 - I like most compare to other 2. Cave stone looks magnificent and natural, but no much steps to climb, so can't see any views. Garden behind temple with some monkey around. Nan Tian tong 极乐洞- smaller and more religious.... More

We did an express visit of Ipoh but was worth it. We hired a taxi for three hours. It would cost you between 30 and 35 RM per hour. We went to three different temple caves. The Kek Lok Tong was the best for me. It has a beautiful garden behind and the scenary is great. The second one was... More

There are plenty of temples close to town that can be easily and cheaply reached by taxi. Make sure you are fit if you want to climb the stairs. One has no light in the upper part so the iPhone torch comes in handy as the steps are in pitch darkness.

There are lots of caves and temples around Ipoh. We visited few and all share the majestic and sublime atmosphere. Certainly worth a visit.
