Visited Tasik Chini many many years back. It WAS a Beaitiful Place then. But i just drop by recently, it was a disappointment, very disappoiting visit, it was totally destroyed.

The nearby plantations and logging destroyed the charm and eco-system. No more lotus flowers blooming !!!

There are two places to stay around Tasik Chini, the resort (haven't been there) and Rajan Jones Guesthouse. We stayed at the guesthouse for only RM 35 pp/per night including breakfast and dinner. The mud sludge deposited and trashed into Lake Cini by the iron ore minings nearby.Lake Cini is choked by siltation as reflected by the dirty yellowish water quality ,causing the near extinction of water inhabitants ,flora and fauna .The previously ever-blooming lotus is becoming scarced and withering .

The lake Chini was famous because of its beautiful lotus.Nowdays nearly no more lotus.The resort is such a pity.The place is vey nice but very poor management.
