Visiting this beach brings back nostalgic memories from the times when I was a kid and many of our relatives still lived here. These days the beach seems to be less happening (except as a hangout for teens during the weekends) and the waters aren't as nice as they were 20 years ago.

The beach is excellent for those who like seafood abundant stalls and restaurants that serve Malaysian cuisines. But the beach now slowly contaminated with litters, it is nice all year round except during monsoon between October to December.

I like the view, and the food, but its too crowded. Take a stroll on the wooden walkway at Teluk Pelindung nearby, and watch the waves breaking on the rocks of the promontory.

Be careful for the wild monkeys. Make sure you dont let your children near them. The food stalls are not that clean, I'd rather eat at the KFC/McD or Burger King.

Most public beaches close to towns in Malaysia are normally dirty and unorganized. This place is clean (not spotless) and well planned. Even the changing rooms and toilets are clean. There is a good selection of F&B outlets ranging from local hawker food court, restaurant to international fast food brands and cafes. Good vibe and a nice place to relax... More

This is a nice sandy beach a few kilometres from Kuantan. The Hyatt Regency fronts onto part of it. There are lots of food shops, including a McDonalds, Kentucky and Burger King as well as a load of more interesting Malaysian food outlets. The sand is nice and soft (ie no nasty pebbles) and the sea is great to swim... More

Clean despite the crowd, love the stalls by the beach that sells souvenirs and toys for kids. Especially enjoy the shopping covered by the white canopies right behind the food court.

You can have a leisure walk by the this beach. Very windy during the monsoon seasons. There is a nice chicken chop rice in one of the shops there. The only beach with a McDonalds for you to indulge your sundaes / ice cream while strolling or relaxing at the beach. From a geology point of view, it has many... More
