As an animal lover, it was very difficult to see how badly kept the animals and insects were. Terrariums and cages were dirty and there was not enough sand and water in some of them. There were also a lot of dead insects and lizards. I cannot recommend this kind of place to anyone. I guess there are also other... More

We visited this butterfly garden today. It costs 5RM for an adult to get in. The garden is not very big. There were beautiful butterflies flying there but there were also a lot of dead ones lying on the floor. Don't know if they have a short lifespan or they are not good being cared for. There are also some... More

The entrance fee is low so is the quality of the cages and I’ll agree with other reviewers the animals look half dead or miserable. The butterflies are indeed huge and wonderful but we did see many of them lying dead all around.

We went here as part of our day trip with eco Cameron tours (highly recommend!) And were pleasantly surprised by the huge variety of insects and other animals here including snakes (which we held), turtles, birds, lizards, butterflies, stick insects, spiders, huge grasshoppers and more. After reading some other reviews I want to point out that the reason the animals... More

As well as a wide variet of butterflies, this small park had stick insects (much bigger than anything we'd seen before), leaf insects, scorpions, snakes, and a lovely selection of local flowers. Not easy to get around unless you're able-bodied, but worth the visit.

If you like to see the smaller things in life this is a place that you must visit, the butterflies are beautiful, the other animals didn't excite me that much, but the butterflies were very good to see. they were different and unique. its true that they have not taken good care, but the place is worth a visit. the... I'll repeat what I have read in the other reviews. There are some interesting things to see but the displays are run down or empty and it doesn't seem like the animals etc are that well cared for.

The price of RM5 was not the problem here. The problems was that many of the insects and reptiles here looked at least half dead and their habitats were not nice. I rented a motor bike and went round lots of the attractions on one day, but I would give this one a miss.

This is the worst place I visited in Cameron highlands. Waste of money and time. Better go to other butterfly gardens such as in KL and Penang.

Think the butterflies there are of a non-moving species so it was quite boring though it means it is easier for photographers. My friends and I found the leaf insect most interesting as we took a really long time looking for it. However, this may be a good place to bring young children and show them snakes, leaf frog, leaf... More
