I've been here today and I cannot recommand to go there to anyone who care about animals. I saw rabbits with broken legs begging for some food in a cage full of poo's, dead frogs, and no respects for any of the many animals that survive their. So please, don't.

If you like insects and butterflies, you will like to visit this place. It's not that big but it's a nice thing to do in Cameron highlands if you never visit a butterfly garden

Don't let the exterior put you off - the place is really good. Clean, tidy, well laid out with lots of butterflies, a variety of reptiles and amphibians and flowers at the bottom. Great for young kids, possibly not so good for those who find it hard to get around (lots of steps). Definitely worth a visit. Cafe not open... More

The name Butterfly farm is an understatement. Yes, they have great Raja Brooke Butterfly among other types, but they also showcase a wide variety of animals, reptiles and insects including snakes, beetles, scorpions, rabbits, chickens, hamster etc. The very beautiful flowers such as roses, sun flower etc further adds to the charm of the place. Not to be missed.

Other than the great number of massive colourful butterflies on the 'farm', there are also a variety of other bugs, birds and bunnies to look at. You'll enjoy the visit if you like creepy crawlies. If you don't you might want to leave the butterfly enclosure, take a picture of the cacti and then leave. The one issue I seen... More

We went to the butterfly farm next to the garden. The kids loved it. I think it is to small and boring for adults. We spend a half hour there which was perfect.

I first went to Penang's butterfly farm with an entry fee of 27 Ringitts. I went to the Cameron Highlands as part of a halfday tour and the entry was only 5 Ringitt! Penang had great butterflies and a nicer garden but in Highlands I had snakes around my neck, butterflies/moths placed on me by hand, held a 25kg turtle,... More

This one is rather tricky as you'll miss most of the interesting things if you went just by yourself. But we went here with our tour guide on a half-day tour and he was friends with the owners, so he was actually allowed to walk around, touch the animals and show them to us. So we saw, apart from many... More

not worth the stop. It is quite small and the enclosure is not very nice for the various animals. Save yourself the visit!
