The garden itself is not very big but it is filled with interesting flowers and animals. There are especially many various butterflies. Cheap entrance makes this worthy visit place.

I'm sure travellers to Cameron Highlands will find their way to the Butterfly garden as part of some day tour or the other. The name butterfly garden is misleading though as it contains snakes, scorpions, frogs, rabbits etc. as well! Though the admittance fee of 5 RM is not excessive, many of the displays were not properly cleaned and cared for.... More

Visited Taman Rama-Rama butterfly farm as part of a day trip in the Cameron Highlands. Had I known what lay behind the entrance gate, I'd have skipped this part of the tour. The butterflies had parts of their wings missing, many were dead. There is also a section for animals. Rabbits in small cage, no straw or water. Many lizards... More

I've been to some bad zoos in my time. But I've never seen so many dead animals in one. The cages were stuffed full of animals, dead and alive. There was one particular green whip snake which we saw actually dying. Such a despicable excuse of a tourist attraction. Please don't go there. And if you're on a tour which... More

The butterfly part is very nice. BUT there is another section with a load of animals - many of which were dead. One had snakes in and there were about 10 dead snakes in it and about 20 live ones. The dead ones were rotting and we saw a worker who was 'looking after' the animals - we watched as... More

If you like to see half-dead animals in small cages, then you might enjoy this place. If not, save your money and go to a good zoo, where animals are at least treated correctly. Many butterflies were weirdly walking on the ground. The scorpion was dead. The guinea pigs had a concrete floor that was painted green to simulate grass!!!

Entrance fee of RM5 per adult, children below 3 is free. My 2 years old kid enjoyed this small animal kingdom and butterfly farm than any others farms out there. Suitable for young children. Do not set your expectation high, so you won't get disappointed.
