We went to the butterfly farm next to the garden. The kids loved it. I think it is to small and boring for adults. We spend a half hour there which was perfect.

I first went to Penang's butterfly farm with an entry fee of 27 Ringitts. I went to the Cameron Highlands as part of a halfday tour and the entry was only 5 Ringitt! Penang had great butterflies and a nicer garden but in Highlands I had snakes around my neck, butterflies/moths placed on me by hand, held a 25kg turtle,... More

This one is rather tricky as you'll miss most of the interesting things if you went just by yourself. But we went here with our tour guide on a half-day tour and he was friends with the owners, so he was actually allowed to walk around, touch the animals and show them to us. So we saw, apart from many... More

not worth the stop. It is quite small and the enclosure is not very nice for the various animals. Save yourself the visit!

It is not really beautiful when butterflies have to be caged like this and be poked by kids and all the adults there; it was interesting to see it so up close but felt sorry for the animals..most of them felt as trying to get out..zoo's are not really that great..felt like prison

For children this butterfly farm is really nice. Also because of the variaty of other animals like snakes, scorpions, gecko, lizards, huge stick and leaf insects, guinea pigs and rabbbits.

The butterfly house was much smaller than expected. There was lots of butterflies and we did get some nice photos. The butterfly house was well kept. Unexpected to then see a whole lot of snakes, spiders and other random animals on display. The bunnies and the turkey look a little sad. I think overall it was worth going.

The Butterfly Farm itself is not really that big, it does not have a huge collection of living butterflies, the interesting things of the farm are a quite good collection of beetles that are on display; they had on display, Cheirotonus arnaudi, Odontolabis femoralis femoralis, and some other interesting species. It is an interesting trip to visit the butterfly farm... More

The butterflies are in terrible shape, most of them have broken wings and just sit at the ceiling trying to get out. Other animals, like rabbits or turtles sit in small areas that are really dirty. The animals don't look very lively. The turkeys have a ridiculously small cage. Also the whole concept is not really understandable as it seems... More

Cheap but your money is still going to support animal cruelty. The whole establishment is scurfy, dirty and untidy. This I could overlook. What was upsetting was the treatment of the animals. In one corner of the butterfly enclose was a chap opening envelopes and releasing butterflies from them. I assume they put the chryalis into envelopes to hatch but... More
