Spoiled by too many tourists on high speed boats ~ okay we appreciate it was a holiday weekend, but this is not sustainable. The climb to the lake was over-crowded and really unpleasant, but the lake and view once there was lovely. Pulau Dayang Bunting, an island offshore Langkawi, around 30 minutes travel from Langkawi by boat. This is a small island which is nothing more than a forest with a fresh water lake in the middle.

I could spend about an hour on this island. Lake was clear and water was just perfect for a swim. but needs a 10-15 min walk to reach the spot.

The lake is natural surrounded by jungle. The hike there was great exercise. Fun place for childred with boat rides. Great picnic area.

The boat ride is fun. A cool lake on an island. Fun and exciting. Eagle feeding activity on this tour was very impressive

Its just marvelous to be on an island and have a dip in the fresh water lake knowing that many thousand years ago it rised from the seabed and at one point, a mere 4 feet of land saperates the fresh water from the sea water.

Wooww, though the way we reach the lake was quite heavy, but very breathtaking view once you step into this place. We loved to swim in the lake.
