This is a great spot to visit. Quiet, unspoiled nature. Beach has a great view of islands and clearer water than the rest of the island.

the name of this beach were so literally takes on its scenery. tanjung rhu was actually located at the north of langkawi, which is about 30 min drive from pekan kuah. we did have our lunch at the restaurant at near the beach, the price was okay. we are truly suggest for everyone who visit langkawi to stop at tanjung... Tanjung Rhu is a beach that I would recommend as compared to the other beaches as it had a more wild feeling to it. Creeping pink flowers that trailed along the beach made it feel absolutely summery and to boot, the sea stacks that you could view from the beach are pretty. This is a pleasant beach for a picnic... Certainly worth the drive up to the north of the island. We took a scooter (around 35 RM per day / 7 €). Well signed roads and easy enough to find with a basic map of the island! Don't be put off by the barrier across the road when you get near to the beach - you have to fill... More

Over-water restaurant with really friendly staff....also good food... The team was friendly and welcome was warm....some of them spoke hindi and were bollywood fans....so a bit of indian-ness felt good.... Worth going if you are staying nearby...

Great place for a swim and usually very quiet. If you have a hire car or scooter this place should be on your to do list and best of all it is a free activity. No toilet facilities though.

A quiet beach with not much of tourist as it is a private guarded beach. If you have the intention to stay at the 5 or 6 star hotel here, then the whole beach will be yours but you may try to snap some beach photo here too before the guards come to chase you away.

It is simply the best beach for relaxing in langkawi, You'll need a car to go there but it is defiantly worth it ... It is a quiet place even-though there were a few several people visiting and several tourist laying down and getting tan ....( for those pervert ones you can get the topless view also , not that... Beach itself is very small as major portion is occupied by a resort. Not that clean and the water too is just fine. Langkawi any which ways does not have crystal clear waters in most of its beaches. Have to pass through a security check before you enter the beach.

From what we have been to, this definitely ranks top of the list as one of the clean beaches. When you enter the beach area, you are given an information sheet and you need to sign it - there's no fee. Mainly it's related to informing about rules and regulations & keeping the beach clean. Overall, a good beach. Expect... More
