Air-conditioned Ferry

Ticket seller was not friendly, but the ferry was good with seat number for each passenger, and it has air-conditioner.

Don't miss the chance to cruse between Penang and Langkawi. Although ships needs renovation! but its still one of my favorite attractions. I prefer it over plan or high ways!. you can go for a VIP cabin, but don't expect it to be a real VIP! GOLDEN tip! don't worry about your seats! Just go to the TOP and Enjoy... More

We travelled today return trip Penang to Langkawi. Had seen nice big bright white ferry at Pier day before and believed that would be the one that we would catch. Not so. Instead our ferry low in water, obviously very sturdy and safe. No access to outside. Sit in aircraft style seats whole way. If short like me can't even... More

Don't expect a luggage ferry or anything fancy and you should be fine. Process is simple enough and we got there in less than 3 hours. No food available on board so bring some snacks with you. They showed a movie on one tv screen that was extremely far away from us so we couldn't view it. The other screen... More

Kuala Kedah to Langkawi is a short trip so really whats to worry about. The boat we were on was like a fridge but that seems to be the way the Malaysians like it. Langkawi to Penang I was a bit worried the reviews were dire. I really think it has to do with the number of people and the... More

Jetty Point Complex is a two-storey shopping mall conveniently located at the entrance of Kuah Jetty. It is a five-minute drive from Kuah Town Centre while Dataran Lang or Eagle Square is a 15-minute walk away. Visitors who travel to Langkawi via boat or ferry will head to this harbour to board or disembark. As Kuah Jetty is the main... More

Travel from-to Kuala Perlis. There are few jetty points you can choose from Penang, Kuala Kedah & Kuala Perlis depending on your distance or preference. Inside the ferry can be very cold depending on the weather & crowd. The departures are on time except for the 7pm which is the last ferry was extended 5-10 minutes. Don't expect too much... More

Starting from December 9, 2014, Langkawi Auto Express became the latest ferry offering for tourists visiting Langkawi. Previously, tourists must either fly in or take the passenger ferry, and those using the passenger ferry have to park their cars at either Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis, the two ports of embarkation. Now, Langkawi Auto Express offers a new service which... More

The immigration process is seriously haphazard, but once you get on the boat it's clean and air-conditioned. Take a book because there's not much else to do on there!
