We came on a day tour from Singapore. This is beautiful in the outside. We were not allowed to go in. We came on Saturday morning. No crowds at this time. Wish we could have seen the inside.

Wuduk place was dark with malfunction lighting. Parking was OK. Access to women's wuduk area is common with men.

I came here with fairly low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. This mosque is a very attractive structure in a peaceful location looking out towards Singapore. Not too many people about on a weekday.

The mosque is an architectural gem from the Colonial era standing on a hillside, overlooking the Straits. It is something not to be missed when in Johor.

I took the half day tour from Singapore to Johor, Malaysia. The main religion practiced in Malaysia is Islam and the tour included a stop at the Mosque. It happened to be a prayer day and the grounds were set up to meet the needs of the membership. The Mosque itself sets on a hill with an amazing view of... More

It has a nive view from the Mosque, and all is quiet and relaxing. People is warm, and you can talk there and ask about the place.

1) It is located at a hill-top after the Zoo 2) Easy to find as it is guided by a lot of signage 3) Colonial and old Islamic architecture which is very beautiful 4) The ablution area located downstairs from the main praying hall (for muslim travellers) 5) I don't see any information counter to guide tourist to go around... Visited as part of a day trip. The views and architecture made it a worthwhile stop. Interesting history to the place - would have been nice to go inside but respect the beliefs.

The mosque is one of the most arresting architectural sights in JB City. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia and is listed as a protected heritage monument by the Department of Museums and Antiquities. Because it sits on top of a hill, overlooking the Straits of Johor, the panorama from the place is breathtaking.

Was beautiful but wasn't allowed to go inside! Which was disappointing, not sure why. But I wish I had known that before got there.
