I am very much surprised that its a very good place for tourists to visit and the Sultan of Johor has such lovely ideas of doing this he is really a man who has magic touch of making this country a good one long live the Sultan. Its peaceful and good place to walk around and relieve your stress.

I walked around the outskirts of this park whilst on a day trip to JB from Singapore. Unfortunately, this pretty area of parkland is fenced off from public access, so it isn't actually possible to go inside. instead you have to admire the gardens from outside. The advantage is that it is in quite an accessible location within a fairly... More

There have been no recent updates on this park, and rightfully so, as it remains closed to the public almost 2 years after the park was closed for renovations. The grounds were supposed to be open to the public early this year. There have been no news confirming when this little green lung in Jb will re-open. The museum is... More

Been enjoying the garden since my childhood days. Currently closed for some refurbishment works. Probably be re opened next year 2014. Best recommended spot to relax would be the small hill next to the old palace facing the seaview. You can even watch the sunset if you're not shooed away early by the guards ( the garden is closed to... More

The Grand Palace Park has been closed to the public from 2nd January 2012 till 19th January 2014. Lots of refurbishment and land scape works on going. Hope its opened as scheduled and is a great tourist attraction.

f u r in JB then this is probably the best natural park u can find. U will like it here if u r not too particular about facilities and luxury. It has good views of the straits and some parts of Singapore. There is often good wind blowing there but can be very hot in the afternoons. Good for... More

Don't go there until next year 2013 at the earliest. Major restoration and renovation is being done to the buildings and park so it is closed to the public until further notice.

Just to inform that this place has been closed for landscaping and upgrading...so, i went there for nothing. For those want to visit, come back again in 2013. Hope this info will help the visitor like myself.
