Been enjoying the garden since my childhood days. Currently closed for some refurbishment works. Probably be re opened next year 2014. Best recommended spot to relax would be the small hill next to the old palace facing the seaview. You can even watch the sunset if you're not shooed away early by the guards ( the garden is closed to... More

The Grand Palace Park has been closed to the public from 2nd January 2012 till 19th January 2014. Lots of refurbishment and land scape works on going. Hope its opened as scheduled and is a great tourist attraction.

f u r in JB then this is probably the best natural park u can find. U will like it here if u r not too particular about facilities and luxury. It has good views of the straits and some parts of Singapore. There is often good wind blowing there but can be very hot in the afternoons. Good for... More

Don't go there until next year 2013 at the earliest. Major restoration and renovation is being done to the buildings and park so it is closed to the public until further notice.

Didn't get to go into the museum since it was close due to an upcoming ceremonial event. However, we did get to walk around the garden surrounding the palace, and it's beautiful. There were a lot of wedding photography taking advantage of the location. The entrance to the garden is free. You could just stroll around the garden, enjoy scenery... More

We are so thankful that this garden is open to the public. Th old folk who suffer from sleep disorders find this a perfect place to start their day. The place is green, the air is fresh and above all it is really safe to walk in the garden even at 4 am. We really wish to thank our ruler... More

Visited this place last weekend because malls are boring after awhile. The museum is opened from 7am to 5pm (last tickets are sold at 4). We took a cab and arrived well before 4, but I guess the worker(s) decided to slack and go home earlier as no one would miss them. More of the Malaysian efficiency I've experienced the... More
