See these natural born peckers in a rustic kampung environment. These feathery friends peck up to 1,500 times a day. Watch out! Green and shiny objects attract them. But don’t fret, we volunteered our curled fingers for a pecking experiment and felt no pain. Apparently, this pecking fetish of theirs is quite harmless. Our trip was full of fascinating factoids... They really like to bring the visitors around, even though we were the only customers, they took the time to tell us about ostrich feeding habits and the rest of the birds. Kids loved it.

the Ostrich...you could watch them "up close and personal"! The farm has a "tour guide" that guides you along the way in the farm and all too much eager to tell you about their famed bird! The egg cracking presentation was fun and educational and I bought the egg shell for 20 ringgit (just bought a bulb and the egg... More

The farm is very near to Pengarang but quite far from Desaru. Entrance fee is RM15 for adults and RM10 for kids. You get to see the breeding process and various stages of growth of the Ostrich. Highlights of this place includes feeding the ostriches, ostrich ride, standing on ostrich eggs, eating ostrich omelette and ostrich satay. You can also... More

Kids were trilled at the sight of the Birds and the huge eggs. Very kampong style, not big nor really touristy. The uncle feeding the bird there is really devoted to the big birds, he kept lots of photos on his handphone and even showed us the species that are dangerous and enlightened us on the different type of birds.... Very patient in explaining everything about the ostriches, in mandarin through. Try the Ostrich meat if you dare... not bad for kids to go to.

Visited the breeding farm with high expectations. True, there were enough ostriches to keep your kids enthralled. Somehow the birds weren't too healthy looking. Restricting them in such numbers in a moderate enclosure doesn't seem like a good idea. The place as such is quite on the ramshackle side. The owners were full of information about the rearing of ostriches. The... More

This is about the 4th time we have visited this place. Yes it is a working breeding farm for Ostriches. But putting this aside, it really is worth a visit. The staff are all very enthusiastic and enjoy passing on their knowledge, they now do Ostrich rides for the younger guests, definitely worth the extra RM20 that includes a photo.... More

This is was our second stop on a 2D1N bike ride from Tg Pengelin to Desaru Pulai Resort. Francis who co-own/manages the farm welcome us as we rode into the farm on our bikes. Walked us thru the farm and explain the entire growth and development process of the ostrich from egg to slaughter. We had ostrich egg omelette and... More
