One of my favorite Japanesey touristy spots in Sendai. It is about 640yen to ride the Loople Bus for a day which takes you all around the city to the best tourist spots. Walking around the castle is FREE. The bus makes it's way up to the mountain top after a nice scenic drive through the city and over the... More

You can get a panoramic view of Sendai from the keep site, which features a statue of Masamune on horseback. Here too you can visit the Aoba Castle Museum, which displays a range of items related to Masamune. Take Sendai Loople Bus passing Tohoku university and stop at busstop#6. Don't forget to shoot panorama shot here too.

This was a stop on the Loop Bus that takes you to all the "touristy" spots around Sendai (620 yen/person/day). Worth seeing, nice view of the city and big buddha. No entrance fees unless you want to go into the museum. There was some little stores to shop at and several food options here as well.

Great view of the city from the old ramparts. Bus stop at entrance. Park like settings. Great exercise/walking area.

An odd site. No obvious castle, some touristy shops and some very good views of Sendai City. Don't make too much of an effort to visit but if you're passing by.....

The castle is one of the stops on the Loople bus. It was a Tuesday, so many museums and botanical garden were closed. The view is spectacular over all of Sendai, but hardly worth a special trip.

My first time visiting Sendai, 2 hours North of Tokyo by train. It is a hidden gem because it is a very nice city with plenty of things to do and see, but very few people outside Japan know about it. My wife and I visited several temples, Japanese gardens and the famous annual fireworks event. the Richmond Premier Hotel... More

I love the view from the top of this area. Try the corn on the cob it is a nice treat just to walk around and see the entire city from there. Even though there is no castle there now the walk is very uplifting and special. Check out the Science museum if you have the chance it is pretty... More

A great way to get around Sendai and see the sights. The bus stops at selected visitor attractions and is reasonably priced.
