Kabira Bay is very touristy, but it is so amazingly beautiful. It is best in the afternoon so that the sun is not reflecting on the water. The slightly elevated view spot is the best spot for the view. It is prohibited to swim at this spot due to the tour boats and the pearl farms.

The view of the bay is wonderful, especially when the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Very deep colors and impressions. This is the only place we have actually been solicited for taking glass boat rides. A bit too pushy for our preference. Otherwise, there is a nice atmosphere in the area. Also, a local directed us to... More

The blue of this Kabira gulf is actually beautiful. I recommend seeing the ocean from Kabira Farm, the cafe where you can drink and purchase the passion fruits juices. You can relax and enjoy the nice view here.

Just like other reviewers here, some people had told us we can't go swimming here. But there aren't actually any signs forbidding it. The beach is really nice, with fine sand, without pieces of coral to hurt your feet, so it's actually among the most bather-friendly spots on the island. The only reason I can see to suggest you shouldn't... More

The water is as blue as the pictures show, even on an overcast day. Because of the weather there weren't a lot of tourists, but I can imagine the amount of glass-bottom boats seriously blocking the gorgeous views when the weather is better. I believe the other Yaeyama Islands have a lot more to offer than Ishigaki

This place is simply beautiful... I stayed almost, if not, an hour just sitting by the sand watching all the boats passing with tourists! The water is extremely clear! It's a beautiful and very relaxing place to go! If you enjoy pictures, for sure you will get some really good ones! Also the day I went all the stores were... More

We just came here to take pictures... It's beautiful! It's kind of nice but sad that no one can go into the water, though.... We did go shopping for pearls at a little shop near here ;)

Kabila Bay had to take one of the top spots for most beautiful beach on Ishigaki. There are a few restaurants/ice cream shops and toilets etc there along with a decent size car park and the look out point provides some great views of the area. Swimming is not encouraged here as many glass bottom boats have tours around the... More
