I have been to Kabira-bay three times in my life. It is breathtaking. Color of the ocean is beautiful and amazing. This is something you can't see mainland. You must add here your must see list.

It's a nice view, and if the tide is a little out you can walk along the shore. After you leave the main area, the beach is covered with garbage which makes it less nice. I would say it's worth the trip if you have a car. If you're taking the bus, it might not be worth it as the... More

Beautiful beach tucked away up in the north of Ishigaki island with a glass bottomed boat tour of the only living coral reef in Japan. Not a bad way to spend Xmas Eve. The boat cost around 700yen per head, and took just the 6 of us even though capacity was about 25, should be a 1000 or so in... More

Very nice looking place but that's about it. We took also glass bottom boat cruise but the water was a bit murky and it was not unforgettable experience. Worth the visit if you are around the area but not the place to go if you are looking for an adventure.

It takes a while to get there by the public bus, but once you are there, is the best spot in all the island, the beach and the water are just gorgeous!

Beautiful bay for kitesurfing. Outside the reef nice rollers while inside the water is super flat even in 25 knots. The spot works during low and high tide. However I recommend to wear shoes due to sharp corals.

One of the most popular tours on ishigaki is the glass bottom boat tour of kabira bay. Since you can't swim in the beautiful turquoise water, I thought this would be a great way to "snorkel" in the bay. Disclaimer: I was on the 1 pm boat, so maybe my experience would have been better on a morning boat. For... More

Kabira bay offers glass-bottomed boat trips out over some coral. the boats are a little run down, and the coral is nice but not amazing. However at about Y1000 per person it's a nice enough way to spend some time. Other than the boats there are a number of tourist shops and places to eat, but I found other places... More
