Kuju-ku Islands tour – We rode the Pearl Queen boat and circled some of the 208 islands in this Saikai National Park in Sasebo City which is part of Nagasaki prefecture. Went to the acquarium, did pearl removal and got to keep the pearl.

The resort comprised of Cruise excursion terminal, Kujukushima Aquarium, souvenir shops and restaurants. Cruise pamphlet available in different languages and narration during the cruise ride was in both Japanese and English. Felt the 50 minutes cruise (1200 yen) gone by quickly as the scenery of 99 Islands was so amazing. We went to the top deck to enjoy the gentle... More

We enjoyed a trip among the 200+ islands on the Pearl Queen at the Saikai Pearl Sea Resort. The boat was very comfortable and relaxing, and the scenery beautiful. The trip takes about 50 minutes and is well worth the time. Another boat, a "pirate ship" is available for touring the islands as well. We took this trip after visiting... More

This was an amazing trip among the islands and the brochures are in english. We were on a city tour but you can catch a regular bus from Sasebo and easily spend the day. You can also go to the Aquarium which is in the same area.

Very near Sasebo city this park and the 208 island archipelago it is part of is a do not miss attraction. Before going on the boat trip which is very good value you must drive up the hill above the resort a view the islands from a well situated lookout, on a fine day it is a sight one should... More
