Beautiful and magical place, awesome view of all the little islands. Beautiful scenery on land and by boat. Locals are extremely courteous , beautiful culture. Peaceful location.

Even on a rainy day, the cruise was enjoyable sailing around the many small islands that dot the coast around Sasebo. They are not inhabited, but make for some great photos and a good hour of relaxation.
Marvelous islands seen from viewing platforms high above the Zoo; but also much worth a visit. I liked especially Kujûkushima and Takashima: history as well as great nature walks.
