Love location

close to home, it is the course of the walk. It is a beautiful artificial coast. People even less, you can relax.

Do dress warm as it gets cold near the seaside. The architecture of the building is unique. A getaway from the city of hakata.

... Very quaint and a nice place to go on a romantic date (with the Fukuoka Tower just across the street). There aren't too many shops, but if you're there during the day-time, you ought to try the Blue Seal Ice Cream shop (American-style ice cream brand created in Okinawa). It's awesome. Parking isn't free, but then again, nothing is... More

Momochi is a 5km walk from Tenjin or a 20m bus ride or a 15m walk from Nishijin station. If you cannot get out to a real beach, then Momochi is a great place to visit as well as being a good break from the city. It's a man-made beach, but extremely well-kept. The food is good, there is enough... More

There are many beautiful beaches around Fukuoka but Momochi is not really one of them... Sure it can be "wow" for someone not leaving by the sea and wish to enjoy time close to the ocean but check other, less famous spots and you can have chance to experience really stunning views and clean blue water. Only good point is... More

Great place to have romantic dinner, hang out with friends, chill out with family. It opens to everyone :) All the people around here looks happy at that time. It is touristic place, but not that busy place!

Clean sandy Momochihama Beach with outdoor cafes and restaurants in Marizon and Fukuoka Tower in the background. We took off our shoes and walked through the cold waters, then took the Uminaka Ferry Line boat to Shikanoshima Island (with its Marine World and Uminonakamichi Seaside Park)..

A relaxing place if you want to feel the sea breeze. There are several restaurants and convenient stores nearby if you want to grab something to eat. It is also very close to major tourist attractions, e.g. Fukuoka Tower, Marizon.

Momochi Seaside Park is a great place to go to relax on the beach and enjoy the sea. Very clean and the only rude people we ever see is rude エイゴ/americans, koreans and chinese. (These few tend to be the ones that are load and/or drunk, and have no manners.) There are restaurants and shops all around. You can spend... More

Lovely sandy man made beach, usually very clean though the water is not that clear and I've spent a few summer days here over the years. Lots of food and bar stalls and it is bustling and lively on the weekend (in summer!) and a good place to relax or escape the city. Has changing rooms and showers. Not the... More
