Here we can find so many Shops with Branded Stuff and there are Grand Hyatt Hotel in attach to This Shopping Mall. They have Indoor & Outdoor Shops. The Building Divide into 3 part : Grand Building, South & North Building, so it's a big shopping Centre. They also have Musical Fountain Show starting 10.00 - 22.00 (start every hour... More

Great mall with lots going on. I don't think the canal conept loks old at all, I think it's quite pretty. The fountain show is pretty cool too. Nice place to come in an enjoy AC on a hot summer day. Plus a lot of sales at the stores are enticing too (I like Uniqlo most). But what I probably... More

Lot's of fun, food and shopping. Great shopping arcade with numerous shops and restaurants. The facade is built around a "canal" which holds water park/playground and five-story water show. Restaurants on on floor 3 and 4 and offer a wide variety of options. There are U.S. famous brand stores, boutiques, specialty food shops, outdoor cafes and more. In the Hakata... More

It was raining whole day when I came. Many shops selling ladies items. Bought a Snoopy lunch time bag (for my spouse). Many tourists too, as it seemed that they were from tour group given free time to explore this City.

Easily reached from Nakasu-Kawabata (leave from exit 5, wander down through the old Kamikawabata Machi market (with some interesting shops), past the Kushida Jinja, and you're then being signposted toward Canal City with a bit of luck. Very scenic for a mall, with water features in the middle, the famous Ramen Station at the top, and a half-decent model shop... More

I read a lot of reviews about Canal City being dated and boring etc. It's actually a pretty cool place to visit. Yes the whole canal/fountain theme may be a bit old, but the place still has plenty of character. The fountain display is nice and there's a fantastic bar right behind it. Some top notch eating places as well.... More

The place is near the Hakata bus station and can be quite difficult to find as its facade looks much different from the tourist pamphlets. There are about 5 floors and every floor is crowed with shoppers. The main attraction here is of course the 8 ramen restaurants on the 5th floor. Here you can savour the different types of... More

The layout is interesting enough to make you wander on different levels. Water arrangements make it cooler than the air temperature. It hasn't got the air conditioned environment of a closed in mall so it more eco friendly. Ice sculptures so the kids can cool their hands. Nice

I love this mall. I think the layout is interesting, built on a semicircle facing a hotel, with a little canal between. Twice an hour we can enjoy a water show, and frequent entertainers, often musicians, also comedians, dancers, and general entertainment. We've loved all the shows we've seen. Some of my favorite Japanese shops are here, including francfranc and... More
