Great ramen and fun on a sunny spring day

We wanted to visit the raumen stadium on the 5th floor of Canal City, which is famous for several ramen stalls. Our two favourites were the Hakata and Sapporo ramen, with the... read more

I love this mall. I think the layout is interesting, built on a semicircle facing a hotel, with a little canal between. Twice an hour we can enjoy a water show, and frequent entertainers, often musicians, also comedians, dancers, and general entertainment. We've loved all the shows we've seen. Some of my favorite Japanese shops are here, including francfranc and... More

This is a pretty typical shopping mall by the river. It is huge with a major hotel, many restaurants, cafes and departmental stores. On the top floor is a games area and a number of Ramen and noodle restaurants ala ramen street at Tokyo station. The hotel has an oyster bar/seafood restaurant that looked enticing but I did not try... More

If you're looking for shopping Canal City is for you. Really though it is just like any urban mall. It has a few glitzy features but it's for shopping, not a tourism destination. As a mall it is good, with a wide selection of stores.

We wanted to visit the raumen stadium on the 5th floor of Canal City, which is famous for several ramen stalls. Our two favourites were the Hakata and Sapporo ramen, with the Hakata version using thinner noodles. Both were delicious, and the different broths were complex and tasty. There are a number of cafes, most notably Starbucks in the basement,... More

It's conveniently connected between several buildings that include hotels and shopping malls. They provide hourly water show accompanied by music (not always live) and other shows including acrobats and musicians. From massage to food and shopping, it provides pretty much all you can think of.

Located next to the Grand Hyatt Hotel, it offers great shopping and dining outlets. The canals also offer a picturesque setting and everything is indoors so you are not exposed to the elements. Many of the outlets open late and you could be spending too much time here without seeing the rest of Fukuoka. Try the Ramen Stadium on the... More

Big and nice shopping mall. On the top floor there is a ramen stadium with all sorts of ramen stands. On the bottom floor there is a mini Bellagio fountain with music that plays on the hour. All to make your experience here the best

Yes it is just a shopping mall with fountains, but the fountains are very pretty and the whole place lights up with beautiful pink fairy lights at night, great if your hotel is local and you're looking for something to do. The centre itself is huge, with a very diverse selection of shops and restaurants. I honestly wish we had... More

Although it's just a huge shopping complex, there's a variety of shops and eateries--fun place to be if you have free time to spare!
